Rush Limbaugh on the Tea Party and GOP

Rush Limbaugh on the Tea Party and GOP

Rush Limbaugh discussed the Tea Party and the Republican Party on his show earlier today. While there are some minor points upon which I would disagree, he did a good job of capturing the frustration of the Tea Party movement, as well as the Republican Party’s role in that. As someone who was there from Day One, I remember all of that all too well.

In a World Gone Mad

In a World Gone Mad

You can either laugh or you can cry. But in case you have any doubts, this past week provided proof that the world has indeed gone mad. At the same time Obama’s Justice Department has been decrying voter identification requirements in states as being racist, Obama was touting a $53 million voter identification card system in Kenya. During the same African trip, Obama announced a plan that could give $7 billion in U.S. taxpayer funds to Africa electricity development…even as his plans to eliminate coal-fired electricity generation in America jeopardizes our nation’s domestic power grid.

Study Finds Govt Regulations Strangling Economy

Study Finds Govt Regulations Strangling Economy

$54 trillion. That would be the size of the economy today if regulation had remained at its 1949 level, a Jan. 2013 study on excessive federal regulations has found. GDP at the end of 2011 would have been $53.9 trillion instead of $15.1 trillion if regulation had remained at its 1949 level. Reagan and RINOs: The Big Difference

The claim is often made (to excuse liberal RINOs) that “Reagan wasn’t perfect” and “Reagan couldn’t get elected today” and “Even Reagan did blah blah blah liberal thing.” We would do well to recognize certain truths in our imperfect world. Even beyond all that, there are some critical differences between Reagan and todays RINOs, and some critical differences between Reagan’s situation and today’s situation that liberal Republicans really hope you don’t know about.

Dependence Day…Happy Now?

Dependence Day…Happy Now?

The Fourth of July has come upon us once more. Frankly, I’m flabbergasted to think that anyone in America today would be celebrating “independence”. Flabbergasted, because everything that has happened in politics for at least the past 50 years points to an exponentially growing trend. Rather than celebrating independence, Americans seem to prefer being dependent upon government authority for everything.

A Darkened America on the Fourth of July

A Darkened America on the Fourth of July

Here on this 4th of July much has changed in America since last year. The hope and joy that once filled American patriotic dreams on the birthday of our nation has turned to great despair and dread concern. We have had many great challenges before in our nation’s past but we have never experienced an inward hostile take over of our three branches of government as we have last week.
