South Dakota Concealed Carry Permit Information for April

shoulder_holsterPIERRE, S.D. – Secretary of State Jason Gant stated that “even though we have issued a smaller number of permits in April, South Dakota has seen record numbers of new and renewed permits during the first quarter of 2013.”

Concealed Pistol Permits received during the month of April have tapered off a bit, but the numbers are larger than April 2012.  In comparing the 1,666 permits issued during April 2013 with the 1,521 issued during the same period in 2012, the increase is at a normal pace.

During the months of January, February, March and April, 14,442 permits were issued.  That compares with 18,031 for all of 2012.
