The Backbone of America

We seem to have in place a system of naturalization which hinges largely upon passing a test. This is followed by a “swearing in” ceremony at which time all future citizens recite our Pledge of Allegiance. That word “allegiance” is citizenship’s backbone. The problem lies with the fact that talk is cheaper and so is our enemy’s value of life.

Making Sense of the Senseless

Our popular culture has embraced notions of moral and religious relativism wholesale. Let’s not kid ourselves. Ideas have consequences. Our naive sense of tolerance is proving dangerous to our way of life, and our distorted sense of political correctness is shutting out important political and social discourse. The fact is, one idea is not as always as good as another, and all religious viewpoints are not equally valid.

Is the Church on Earth during the Tribulation?

It has been a gut-wrenching week, between the dead and wounded in the Muslim terrorist Boston bombings and the Texas fertilizer plant explosion and the head-spinning misinformation (and reported cover-up of a Saudi connection to Boston) coming out of Washington and the media. I’m reaching the point of overload, and so I want to turn away from the evil news of today and take a brief look into the timeless Word of God and the end times prophecies as they relate to Jesus’ return.

Obama or Not — It Still Is

Some time ago, few dared to disagree with President Obama or his administration for fear of being declared a racist.  After all, that is what many of his followers actually said to our faces.  To disagree with Obama was to do so because and only because he is a Black man — PERIOD!  Couldn’t be (in their opinion) for ANY other reason.  What has changed?  Why are more and more and more people speaking their minds in spite of the label threat?
