South Dakota RINO Governor Dennis Daugaard has a column out today which laments that some of your money isn’t making it into government coffers. Specifically, he is whining about the tax revenue which is “lost” when South Dakotans purchase things online rather than in a store located in our state. This has nothing to do with “equity” and everything to do with government hunger for our money.

Some 140 conservative leaders throughout the United States sent an open letter today to U.S. House and Senate Republicans, reminding Republicans of their mandate to uphold conservative principles and to fight the liberal agenda. They also reminded Republicans of dire consequences-for America and for Republicans, politically-if the GOP caves in to liberals on tax hikes and other issues.

The dichotomy between the scenes of people lined up to buy a one in 171 million chance at being wealthy beyond their imaginations, and an electorate that voted for a President who is desperate to confiscate the income of those they consider to be rich through higher taxes is almost impossible to reconcile. But Republicans would do well to remember whether they campaigned (and won) on a platform of raising taxes…or keeping them lower.

While President Barack Obama and his Democrats are pretending to be all hot and heavy to reduce the deficit by confiscating more of American’s money, is that really what he wants to accomplish by forcing successful Americans to pay even more elevated tax rates than they already do?

The Washington Times reports that the latest Centers for Disease Control (CDC) information on AIDS transmission for 2010 finds homosexual behavior is still the vastly prevalent transmission source of HIV, even though homosexuals only make up about 2.9% of the population.
