As amazing as it may seem to some, there are some non-Americans around the world who understand far better than many Americans what makes America special, what makes it good, what makes it the greatest nation on earth. Peter Hitchens of the British Daily Mail recently shared his Election Day observations, and they do not bode well for America’s future.

Four years after Barack Obama was elected on a platform of “change you can believe in,” he’s now promising America that the “best is yet to come.” However, on almost every front—fiscally, militarily, politically, socially—the country is in a state of disarray. Most troubling, however, is the state of our freedoms.

Woody Allen once quipped that there are two sides to a person, one being the side that aspires to such nobler things as art, beauty and pondering the meaning of life, and then there’s the other side that has all the fun! It was an appeal to the latter that sealed victory for the Democrats, although with economic stagnancy on tap for the foreseeable future, the Democrats can hardly claim to offer anything fun.

One thing is certain. Neither Mr. Romney nor the Republican Party ever made the case for the sanctity of life or marriage in this election season. Sure, they mouthed their opposition to abortion and their support for traditional marriage, but they never really made their case to the American people as to why these issues are so critical to the health and prosperity of our nation. All we got when it came to social issues in Campaign 2012 were canned soundbytes from the Republican nominee.

If a new United Nations (UN) treaty governing small arms passes the U.S. Senate with a two-thirds majority, it will directly regulate gun owners in the U.S., warns acclaimed constitutional attorney Michael Farris.“[I]t is aimed not only at arms dealers — it is aimed at every ‘end user’ of firearms,” Farris wrote in a Facebook update, pointing to provisions in the treaty that define small arms, a requirement that all gun purchasers be put into a federal database, and even new powers in the treaty for the government.

Since RINO Mitt Romney’s election loss last week the RINOs and their fellow liberals in the “mainstream” media and elsewhere are (predictably) giving Republicans advice on how to fix the problem. It is, of course, complete surrender of foundational Republican values. But Dennis Prager has another (and infinitely better) solution: communicate American values-and their superiority and desirability-to those groups who rejected the GOP’s muddled and conflicted message this election.

Conservative, Tea Party babe and radio talk show host Dana Loesch is fired up and on target, targeting anti-Republican-values RINOs who want to sell out the freedom and prosperity of the American people. Hear what her plan for pro-ObamaCare, pro-tax “Republicans” is; you might just want to get onboard.

What we often perceive as the biblical way is often nothing more than the worldly way dressed up in piety and justified by familiarity and personal experience. What we often fail to do is listen for and hear the voice of God. Instead, we reason, evaluate, and decide based on what seems right to us but in fact may not be consistent with life lived under the rule and reign of God.
