I flew to Washington D.C. today to cover the Family Research Council’s Values Voter Summit. This year’s event should be especially exciting for a number of reasons. It’s an election year, GOP Vice Presidential Candidate Paul Ryan will be speaking, and tensions are elevated with the shooting of a FRC security guard by a homosexual activist less than a month ago. Should be interesting.

Our Leniency With Freedom
I thought I saw it all. Now I’ve seen it all twice! Once again, my local newspaper re-ran a picture of a Florida pizza shop owner’s welcoming bear hug, which lifted Obama into the air. Highlighting this unusual greeting could be passed off as newsworthy I suppose, however, the highlighting of the shop owner’s political persuasion seems to have once again warranted its re-play. That, along with informing the public of what current qualities is truly sought in a candidate.
