This is a very interesting documentary about historian Tom Holland’s efforts to trace the origins of Islam back to its earliest sources and learn all he could about how this powerful religion came to be. Like any good historian would, he sought original documents, original artifacts, and visited original locations in his quest. This 2012 presentation may just open up more questions than it answers.

Did the horrors of Nazi (National Socialist) Germany have to happen? Beginning with the little losses of freedom, and escalating up to the imprisonment, starvation, gassing and ovens of the Holocaust-was all of this evil unavoidable? Could it have been stopped if good people had stood up and spoken up at the beginning?

Sandra Fluke, stood there at the DNC podium and intentionally took us to an Animal Farm moment. A moment where she had no hesitation in showering deceit upon her audience, and seemingly with the expectation that the rest of us women (and even men) were too stupid to grasp the untruths within her alleged crusade to save us from those who might try to silence us.

The majority of Americans realize that our problem is not revenue but in the spending of that revenue. We act as if dollars will cure everything; similar to the alcoholic’s rationalizing about the next drink. America needs to sober up! It would help if those we elect soberly agree.

The dean of the University of Michigan Law School was Thomas Cooley, who died SEPTEMBER 12, 1898. Thomas Cooley was Chief Justice of Michigan’s Supreme Court, President of the American Bar Association and the first Chairman of the Interstate Commerce Commission. His commentaries were influential in shaping American law.

Recently, we have witnessed the pathologizing of individuals who resist authority as suffering from oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), defined as “a pattern of disobedient, hostile, and defiant behavior toward authority figures.” Under such a definition, every activist of note throughout our history—from Mahatma Gandhi to Martin Luther King Jr.—could be classified as suffering from an ODD mental disorder. Governmental authorities at all levels have made it abundantly clear that they want no one questioning their authority.
