Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA)

SOS: Speaking of Seniors - Why the $200 Billion Medicare Difference?

In 2010, the “Obamacare” health care reform law was passed without any serious public scrutiny of the 2000 plus pages. Remember that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi told Members of Congress that they would learn what was in the bill after they voted for it. At first glance after it was passed, we thought the Democrats were gutting half a trillion dollars from Medicare. But after the GAO took a closer look, we saw a different picture.

Demand for Equality: Topless in New York

Demand for Equality: Topless in New York

It would be quite difficult in this day and age for many to be surprised by what the equality folk came up with this week as opposed to last. Looks like each group is trying to out-do the others in shocking the public for freedom to be “unrestrictedly” equal. The latest whine of victimhood involves women who believe they should be able to run around bare-chested because men can. The Foolish, Spiritually Blind Richard Dawkins

God’s Word tells us about the famous atheist and prominent member of the church of evolution, Richard Dawkins. Truth counts. Or do they in the postmodern age in which we live?

Seeing Hurricane Isaac But Blind to Bigger Threat

As hurricane “Isaac” is crawling along at 10 miles per hour on its way through the Gulf of Mexico, the U.S. gulf region is bracing and preparing for a category 2 hurricane. The warning signs and the precise evidence and information of this coming hurricane are abundantly clear for all to see. Only now would a “nut” pretend that this hurricane is not real and be ill prepared to bunker down for this coming storm. Yet there is a far greater threat, with far greater devastation potential, looming unnoticed by most Americans.

A Free Man or Just a Number?

A Free Man or Just a Number?

If people cannot read, or if they simply will not, the safeguard of a democracy—an educated and informed citizenry—is in peril. The importance of an educated citizenry, as envisioned by the architects of the American scheme of government, is that they have the analytical and intellectual wherewithal to recognize and challenge the inevitable corruption of government.
