A Closer Look at Agenda 21
Though more and more people are learning about it all the time, relatively few people have heard of Agenda 21.
No, it’s not a 1950s sci-fi thriller, nor is it a modern-day spy flick…but it is sinister, and it holds within it real threats every bit as dangerous as the ones in the movies can pretend to be.
Agenda 21 is a United Nations (UN) environmentalist initiative designed to bring the environmentalist agenda right to your doorstep (literally) at the local level.
The UN defines agenda 21 as:
a comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the United Nations System, Governments, and Major Groups in every area in which human impacts on the environment.
Notice that is says EVERY AREA.
One difference in Agenda 21 and a lot of the UN environmentalist initiatives is that while most of them are top-down, intended to be forced on people by a centralized government, Agenda 21 is designed to be enforced at a local level.
Indeed, several hundred cities and counties across America have already embraced this agenda. Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is moving ahead with it with great zeal. Environmentalists in Rapid City government have been looking at it for a few years now, but to the best of my knowledge, they have not done much with it…yet.
The average person looks at the lofty, warm-and-fuzzy sounding language of Agenda 21 and thinks it’s okay. What they don’t think of (because almost no one talks about it up front) is the cost that it will add to their utility bills, garbage bills, home maintenance and improvements, restrictions on the use of their own private property, etc. By the time most people think of that, it’s too late–environmentalist tyranny is already upon them.
Eldon Stahl of the John Birch Society spoke last night in Rapid City to a group of concerned citizens about Agenda 21. His presentation, which lasted approx. 1.5 hours, is featured below in three video parts. Though the presentation was designed only to be an overview of Agenda 21, Eldon brings a lot of useful information and provides a lot of illustrative slides.
If you care about your freedom and prosperity, about your right to use your own property as you see fit, and you care about this for your neighbors and children, you owe it to yourself to watch this presentation. You owe it to yourself to get informed…then get involved in making sure environmentalist tyranny doesn’t overtake your community
