The Amazing Story of Economic Growth

The Amazing Story of Economic Growth

This is a fantastically informative presentation from the Cato Institute. Most people in the last generation to hit adulthood-and certainly the one growing up now-have not the slightest clue how fantastically good we have it in America. Everyone should take 20 minutes to watch this presentation. Too many people-even in older generations-are far too willing to trade their freedom for the false promise of guaranteed material security provided by an all-powerful government. There is a reason America and Americans have enjoyed the unparalleled prosperity we have-and to put it simply, it’s because generations past have been unwilling to trade their freedom for the false promise of guaranteed material security.

What Would Obama’s College Records Reveal?

What Would Obama’s College Records Reveal?

Something to think about (that is, if you give the slightest rip about the U.S. Constitution, America and what’s right, that is). America! America!

“O Beautiful, For Spacious Skies, For Amber Waves of Grain…” Almost the National Anthem, “America the Beautiful” was written by Katherine Lee Bates, born AUGUST 12, 1859. Daughter of a Congregational minister, Katherine Lee Bates taught high school, then English literature at Wellesley College. Of her 1893 Colorado journey, Katherine Lee Bates wrote: “Some of the other teachers and I decided to go on a trip to 14,000-foot Pikes Peak. We hired a prairie wagon. Near the top we had to leave the wagon and go the rest of the way on mules. I was very tired. But when I saw the view, I felt great joy. All the wonder of America seemed displayed there, with the sea-like expanse.”
