Have you ever pointed a Leftist to one of America’s founding principles found in the Declaration of Independence, only to have the Leftist snootily dismiss you with the claim that the Declaration of Independence is irrelevant, that it came before the U.S. Constitution, or similar blather? You might want to invite them to read the United States Code, which lists the Declaration of Independence as the first of the organic laws of our nation.

The process to repeal ObamaCare has been underway since the day it was signed in to law. So far, the results indicate that much must change before there is any actual repealing of ObamaCare. The reality of the situation is that the only hope of repealing ObamaCare is in the hands of the worst possible group: establishment D.C. politicians.

Again it comes to this: voting for the “lesser of two evils.” Mitt Romney keeps saying that on Day One in office, he will move to repeal Obamacare. Do I even believe Romney’s promise, as it is? The top aide to Romney’s transition team for the White House is a fellow Mormon, former Utah Governor, former head of the Environmental Protection Agency and Health and Human Services Secretary under President George W. Bush, and is a supporter of the states implementing Obamacare “exchanges.”

As we dive headlong into the 2012 election season, we are about to engage in what may be the most important American election since 1860…or perhaps ever. As we grapple with the ill-effects of neglected morality that make our nation sick fiscally as well as socially, the Left will undoubtedly trot out the handy lie that “you can’t legislate morality.” In truth, we ALWAYS legislate morality; the question is: whose morality will we legislate?
