Sometimes people ask me why I criticize the Medicare system so much. A better understanding of my frustration with the Medicare system could be reached by just reading this official government document and realizing the extra burdens of time, money, and frustration that the Medicare system places on America’s senior citizens.

SD Attorney General Response to ObamaCare Decision
South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley: “I feel strongly that the federal takeover of healthcare goes too far in violation of fundamental individual and state’s rights guaranteed by our Constitution. I am disappointed that despite lawmakers representation this does not impose a tax, a divided Supreme Court declares the Act as creating a constitutional tax. I am relieved that the Act’s Medicaid expansion has been declared unconstitutional and has been significantly limited by the Court.”

Family Research Council (FRC) criticized the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision today to uphold the entire 2010 health care law through its decision in NFIB v. Two people from Rapid City, Bar Braver and Ravaye Meltzer, have pleaded guilt to counterfeiting products and face penalties of up to 10 years in prison and $2 million in fines. It seems the counterfeiters have attempted to pass off goods as authentic products of Monster Energy, Angry Birds, Hollister, The North Face and Ed Hardy…when the products weren’t actually products of these companies. If we so strongly oppose the counterfeiting of currency and manufactured goods, why do some enthusiastically support the counterfeiting of other things?

The Constitutional Convention was in a deadlock over how large and small states could be represented equally. Some delegates gave up and left. Then, on JUNE 28, 1787, 81-year-old Benjamin Franklin spoke and shortly after, the U.S. Constitution became a reality. As recorded by James Madison, Franklin stated: “Groping as it were in the dark to find political truth, and scarce able to distinguish it when presented to us, how has it happened, Sir, that we have not hitherto once thought of humbly applying to the Father of lights.”
