“The private sector’s doing fine,” said Barack Obama. Honesty was the real gaffe he committed. The truth revealed by Obama’s public admission that he thinks the “private sector is doing just fine” is that this president doesn’t care about our private economy and only views it as a necessary evil to pay for the power he derives from the actions of the public sector employees.

With Spain on the verge of bankruptcy, having just secured a €100 billion loan from the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) to recapitalize its banks just so it can refinance its €734.9 billion debt, the government there has been looking for things to cut. One thing the new government under Mariano Rajoy saw that could be cut were taxpayer subsidies to “green” forms of energy. Debts related to those subsidies had reached some €24 billion last year, or 3.2 percent of its total debt, before the programs were discontinued.

The Stand Up for Religious Freedom rally was held in cities nationwide last week in 156 cities with more than 59,000 people attending. MRCTV’s Katie Yoder visited the rally in Washington D.C. and talked to some of the people there concerning what this issue is really about.

You may have heard about liberal “journalist” Bill Press and his contempt for the American national anthem (not a big surprise, since liberals usually hold anything about America or symbolic of American values in contempt). This video from Alfonzo Rachel begins with a clip of Press telling us of his contempt for the national anthem. Zo then provides a good national anthem for American liberals, one that reflects their values much better than the original (the one that real Americans still believe in).

I’m afraid we’re beginning to see a dangerous slide of ethics and morality in the U.S. military. You know, the force that is in charge of guns and tanks and fighters and bombers and nuclear missiles? The one that is charged with defending the American people and our freedom? There is cause for great concern.
