Real Republicans Take on Fake Republicans in Primaries

Real Republicans Take on Fake Republicans in Primaries

There was an interesting report on “mainstream” media outlet KOTA tonight.  It’s about the efforts of real Republicans in South Dakota to bring some “primary” heat to “Republicans” in South Dakota government who act like Democrats. Unfortunately, a number of “Republicans” in South Dakota have for years been acting like Democrats by pushing government health care, shooting down efforts to control illegal immigration, and other liberal moves.

Quote of the Day: Dealing With Grave Threats

Quote of the Day: Dealing With Grave Threats

A quote from Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT) in defense of his plan to put the financial industry under the thumb of the federal government provides an important lesson to the American people. Senator Dodd should also be forced to eat his very own words, doing so by the light of the truth of the Declaration of Independence.

The Politics of the Heart

The Politics of the Heart

The Left would have us believe that all animals are equal under socialist systems. But one need only refer to Cuba and the old Soviet Union to find that the most powerful can always receive preferential treatment.  I could add that Vice President Cheney, who waited over a year for a heart, reportedly did not benefit from his position, but the haters will not believe it.

American City Again Tries to Silence Disagreement With Islam

Yesterday afternoon, the Thomas More Law Center (TMLC) filed a federal lawsuit in the Federal District Court against the City of Dearborn, and its police chief over the City’s new tactic to stop Pastor Terry Jones from speaking out against Sharia law. Supreme Court Mulls Not Just Healthcare, but the Role of Government in America

Supreme Court Mulls Not Just Healthcare, but the Role of Government in America

Questions asked during ObamaCare oral arguments don’t necessarily telegraph how the judges are feeling about the case, or the way they will ultimately rule.  Still, the questions posed by the Supreme Court during last week’s argument on the Affordable Care Act, a.k.a “Obamacare,” indicate that the court is pondering not just the future of health care in this country, but also the role of the federal government in the lives of its citizens.

Subsidize a Winner…or Subsidize a Loser?

Subsidize a Winner…or Subsidize a Loser?

President Obama really likes to bellyache about subsidies to the oil industry (which makes modern life possible). But if you’re going to incentivize and facilitate something, is it better to subsidize something that makes modern life possible…or something that is a repetitively proven moneypit…as our president likes to do?

GSA Wastes Nearly $1 Million on Las Vegas Conference

GSA Wastes Nearly $1 Million on Las Vegas Conference

They just don’t care. The people we have entrusted to protect and preserve our interests as free citizens and taxpayers-they just don’t give a rip about that with which they have been entrusted. Oh, they care when they get caught abusing that trust, but if they really were concerned about being a good steward of the taxpayer’s trust, the GSA never would have urinated away $822,000 of the taxpayer’s hard-earned money on a conference in Las Vegas.

School Kids Targeted by Federal Pro-Homosexual Legislation

School Kids Targeted by Federal Pro-Homosexual Legislation

There are currently two bills pending before the Senate and the House of Representatives in Washington. S. 555 and H.R. 998 both have the Left’s typically deceptive wording in their title, “Student Non-Discrimination Act of 2011.” What makes the title deceptive is that this is not so much about “non-discrimination” as it is about forced homosexual indoctrination and the theft of freedom of conscience and religion for students and teachers in our nation’s public school system.

The Glorious Power of the Resurrection

The Glorious Power of the Resurrection

As we begin this Holy Week there is no other issue, no other thought more demanding of our attention than that of the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. On these facts—and most especially the resurrection—rest the whole Christian faith, mission, and message.
