Did Cheney pull strings for his heart transplant?

Former Vice-President Dick Cheney has suffered with heart problems for years. Finally, the damaged heart could no longer adequately supply blood to the tissues of the body; this is what doctors call “heart failure.” He received a heart transplant a week ago after waiting 20 months, almost twice the average wait. Within hours of the news of his transplant the main stream media and liberal blogs began asking questions like “Was Cheney too old for a transplant,” or worse, “Did Cheney Really Deserve That Heart Transplant?”
