The Hand of providence has been so conspicuous in all this, that he must be worse than an infidel that lacks faith, and more than wicked, that has not gratitude enough to acknowledge his obligations. — George Washington, letter to Thomas Nelson August 20, 1778

Terms Too Much Truth for Liberals

October 9, 2012   ·   By   ·   4 Comments

Maria HinojosaIn this clip, NPR anchor Maria Hinojosa associates calling illegal immigrants “illegal immigrants” to the slaughter of Jews in Nazi Germany.

Yes, accurately stating that someone has violated our national sovereignty and our nation’s immigration laws is EXACTLY the same as slaughtering 6 million Jews.

What was I thinking, calling an illegal alien an “illegal immigrant”?!

I suppose, based on what passes for “logical thinking” on the part of this Leftist, that because many people have broken traffic laws, we should give illegal aliens a pass for having violated our national sovereignty and immigration laws.

One might point out to this intellectual giant that when most people violate the law, society acknowledges that the law has been broken, and that the lawbreaker deserves punishment. This is even true in the cases she mentioned (traffic violations, failure to pay child support).

Only liberals believe people ought to be able to break the law and get a pass for it. Let me say that again: only liberals believe people should be allowed to violate our national sovereignty and our immigration laws and get a pass for it.

Perhaps we should point out, too, that only Leftists are stupid enough to believe that a group of people should be wiped out because of their ethnicity. Just check with your Margaret Sanger/Planned Parenthood types who want to wipe out black people through abortion, or your National Socialist (Nazi) types who wanted to wipe out those dirty, inferior Jews.

Since conservatives don’t believe in wiping out people groups based on their ethnicity, and liberals are too eager to procure a new voting block among illegal aliens, it’s pretty clear that illegal aliens are safe even if we do describe them by their behavior, i.e. illegal immigration.

Being the typical Leftist, I’m sure she would rather we all use a term that flows off the tongue less easily (it’s harder to deal with an issue if it’s harder to communicate about that issue), but “illegal immigrant” or “illegal alien” works just fine. It incurs no additional danger (however powerful the imaginations of Leftists might be), and it accurately describes an illegal behavior, so let’s just all put on our grownup-pants here.

Folks, we cannot-we MUST not-surrender language and meaning to these liberal merchants of perversion. Hold fast to what is right and true, and insist that the truth be met and acknowledged head-on.

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve heard since the TV news story that said something like “New decision would make it against the law to be an illegal alien.”

I prefer to refer to people who come to this country illegally as “criminal invaders.” Much more accurate and descriptive.

Does the Constitution Allow ‘Mandatory Spending’?

Bill Wilson

In 2013, $2.2 trillion of the $3.65 trillion budget will be on so-called “mandatory” spending — a Washingtonian euphemism for automatic spending. It just operates on autopilot, and even increases of its own accord as a function of the rising population that qualifies for benefits and built-in cost-of-living adjustments. But is such a design constitutional?
