percent takersIf only our nation were not in such a seriously dangerous position at the hands of a communist government takeover, this might be funny to watch.  It would almost be humorous to see how desperate Barack Obama (or whatever his name is), his administration, campaign and their pathetic media lackeys are to cling to power.  We could laugh at their stupendous lies and feigned outrage when the truth is told about their detestable, lawless actions against the United States, our Constitution and our God-given freedoms.

Sadly, this is not funny at all.

This new old video of Mitt Romney that was filmed at a private dinner with his supporters several months ago has given Democrats, and even some so-called “Republican” mouthpieces, what they believe is fodder to hurt Romney.  I read a transcript of the speech, minus the missing portion, and I can see that this reaction by members of the Left just shows their desperation.

While I am not at all a fan of Mitt Romney, because he has a clear track record of liberal social policies that I will not stomach—support for homosexual “marriage,” socialized medicine, and his horrible statement that he will keep some parts of Obamacare, to name a few—I found his speech to be refreshingly correct.  If you have not read it, I recommend that you read the transcript linked above.

Just looking at a couple of parts over which the media and Obama campaign had an accident in their pants, I find it pitiful that they are trying to make hay over Romney statements that are just common-sense truth.

A member of the audience asked Romney,

Over the past three years, all everybody’s been told is, don’t worry, we’ll take care of it. How are you going to do it, with two months before the election, to convince everybody you’ve got to take care of yourself?

Romney’s now-famous reply was,

Well, there are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. There are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe that government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement and government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what.

I mean, the president starts off with 48, 49 … I mean, he starts off with a huge number. These are people who pay no income tax; 47 percent of Americans pay no income tax. So our message of low taxes doesn’t connect.

He’ll be out there talking about tax cuts for the rich. I mean, that’s what they sell every four years. And so my job is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.

What I have to do is convince the 5 to 10 percent in the center, that are independents, that are thoughtful, that look at voting one way or the other depending upon, in some cases, emotion, whether they like the guy or not, what he looks like.

There is nothing wrong in what he said.  Of the 47 percent who pay no income taxes, many of them are indeed dependent on taxpayer money handouts from the government—that is not a lie.  Many of them do believe they are “victims,” because they drink the Democrat kool-aid of envy and entitlement.  The fact is that there are many people in our nation who are lazy pigs.  These people will vote Democrat, period.

Romney is correct that his job is not to worry about the entitlement-mentality pigs.  They are lost to conservatism (not that pure conservatism is what Romney offers), and they will never vote for Romney no matter what he says.

Another part of Romney’s speech that sent the Left into spastic fits was when he answered the question of what he would do about the so-called “Palestinian” problem,

I’m torn by two perspectives in this regard. One is the one which I’ve had for some time, which is that the Palestinians have no interest whatsoever in establishing peace, and that the pathway to peace is almost unthinkable to accomplish. Now why do I say that?

He then goes on to make several points about logistical problems that would occur with the creation of a Palestinian state, all of which are very valid concerns.  He also stated that pressuring Israel to give up even more of its land is the wrong thing to do.

What the Left freaked out on was his point that the “Palestinians” have no interest in peace.  That’s wrong how, exactly?

The “Palestinians” do not have any interest in peace with Israel, any more than the rabid Muslim nations surrounding Israel do.  One of the big goals of the followers of the hell-born ideology of Islam is to wipe Israel off the map (because Satan hates Israel), although the Lord is not going to let that happen (as He promises in the Bible).  How many hundreds or thousands of rockets have the “Palestinians” fired into Israel?  How many Israeli citizens have the “Palestinians” murdered?  Meanwhile, Israel continues to bend over backward, giving aid and money to these degenerate, “Palestinian” ingrates.

The fake outrage of the Left at these comments by Mitt Romney is just plain stupid—or naïve, if we want to be kind to those who do not understand the true nature of Islam and its bloodthirsty campaign of world domination.  Mitt Romney’s comments on the “Palestinians” are spot-on, and they show him to be very knowledgeable about the area and the situation.

I’m glad these people who were trying to hurt Romney released this video of him (even though it was edited), because his statements are correct, and the shrill reaction to the video by the Obama campaign and Obama’s media says much more about their desperation than it does about Mitt Romney.

Week after week, the lying bastard/leftist, “old world” media establishment goes into the trenches, twisting reality into something else. Sometimes a slightly modified mis-representation of truth/reality/facts. Other times completly ignoring their Dimocrat masters & owners crimes & unconstitutional acts. They (98% of the old world media) are an enemy of America as not only do they not seek truth, whether it be good, bad, or ugly. They twist, edit, & mis-present what is happening to the former Republic, ushering in our eventual dimise as the only land of Liberty & Freedom. Mitt’s edited “big story of the week” of saying that almost half of voters, will vote for the hoax to keep the ‘freebies’ (which aren’t really free) coming, he spoke the truth, and has nothing to apologize for, and this narrative by the treasonous media is just a continuation of their hellbent agenda of getting the hoax re-elected, no matter what. Appx half of the adult population thinks there will be no end to a benevolent Nanny state, and the other half believes and intends to cleave to the U/S Constitutional Gov’t our brilliant Founding Fathers crafted, and handed down to us. We now know what having a Soviet style media was like, for those that were under the heel of Communism for almost 75 yrs. God save us from knowing first hand what living under the boot of a totally unmasked Fascist Gov’t is like. God save & restore the former Republic.

What is going to happen when the voters on the take are the majority? I would suggest they will want more of the take. After awhile some takers will tire of the bordom life has delt them and fight to become givers. Most will recruit more takers.

I think Romney makes a big mistake by not trying to reach the almost half of Americans who pay no income tax. I believe he could appeal to much of that 47% on significant issues, other than taxes. For instance, take the Savage mantra: Borders, language, culture. Americans of all socio-economic strata want our borders protected and illegal immigration stopped. I think most Americans would respond to a message that emphasized American jobs and the American economy, rather than throwing our resources to non-Americans overseas. Most Americans would respond to a message that gives more concern to majority values, such as heterosexuality and Biblical traditions.

And beyond that, many Americans are aware of the threat that Islam poses to our country and the world. Americans want to be free to believe what they want and to freely express those beliefs. The mark of Western Civilization is the mutual agreement of disparate groups to disagree. Yet, Islam continues to demonstrate daily that it cannot tolerate the differences of opinion that non-Muslims express. Because of that, Islam has not earned the right to be part of the community of ideologies. They are opposed to all non-Muslim civilization, particularly secular, democratic freedoms. I think many Americans want a President who will lead America to stand up against the threat of Islam.

    It ain’t all about taxes.

Mike, I think a lot of the misunderstanding about Romney’s “47 percent” comment was due to the media and even some “Republicans” not looking at the context of the question he was asked.

The question (it’s all in the transcript linked above) was specifically about the “takers.” He was asked how he would reach them with a message about being self-sufficient, instead of bleeding the government dry, although it was not put that way. The question was not about conservatives, or retirees who do either do not make enough money to pay much in taxes or no taxes due to retirement. He was talking about the futility of trying to reach Obamatons.

Romney is trying to reach all Americans with whatever his message is, but he knows there is a certain segment that will never vote for him. In the same way, “Obama” knows there is a certain VAST MAJORITY of Americans who will NEVER vote for him, so he does not try to reach us, and instead, recruits dead voters and illegal aliens to vote for him.

Your point is well taken. I just felt like venting. Media commentary is so limited in scope. They do that intentionally to polarize public opinion. It’s disheartening to think that a substantial segment of the population has been bought off by entitlements. I would hope that even the “takers” aren’t so one-dimensional that they can’t be won over by a superior moral, ethical and national economic vision for America. But that message isn’t getting much air time, thanks to the journalism media morphing into a propaganda ministry.

Time to stop the debt charade

Star Parker

The crisis du jour in Washington now dominating the news, the so-called "fiscal cliff," is but the latest in seemingly endless political crises that we shouldn't be having. We get two different kinds of problems in life: the real ones -- the struggle to work and improve the quality of our lives -- and the ones we bring on ourselves through poor behavior. The more time we must deal with the latter type, the less time and energy we have to tackle life's real problems and challenges.

Debunking the Teacher’s Union Marxist Video

This video by Lee Doren is a nice response to that childish, asinine, class envy screed that Ed Asner and the California Teacher's union put together to make good little Marxists of us all. Point by point, this video response to the Marxist indoctrination video debunks the bilge being foisted.

Michigan Leading the Way for Labor Freedom

Rick Manning

Hot on the heels of Big Labor suffering a stunning defeat at the polls in the state of Michigan, where an attempt to entrench collective bargaining into the state constitution was rejected by 57 percent of the voters, the Michigan state legislature is in the midst of passing legislation to establish right to work laws in the state with the state House of Representatives passing the legislation by a 58-52 vote and the Senate expected to pass it later this evening.

The Story of the Nortax

Bob Ellis

This is an educational and entertaining cartoon that tells the story of America, a place of responsibility and prosperity...that was eventually poisoned by a force that robbed it of its freedom, prosperity and vitality in exchange for worthless "gifts" (that actually came from the pockets of the people themselves). So simple, even a liberal can understand it.

Republicans: Watch Your Elected ‘Republicans’ Very Closely

Conservatives in South Dakota are now forced to fight a war on two fronts to defend the values that made us a great state and nation. Conservatives have for decades fought the Democrat Party to defend faith, freedom and family from the Left. Unfortunately, now conservatives are forced to fight the establishment fatcats of the conservative party of record, the Republican Party.
