Confirmed: Trump ‘Projecting’ an ‘Evolving’ Image

Donald Trump’s campaign has now admitted what observant and thinking conservatives have been saying all along: you can’t rely on Donald Trump to do what he’s been claiming during this campaign to do.

Trump_DemocratFrom AP via Conservative Review:

In a meeting with top GOP officials yesterday, Paul Manafort, Donald Trump’s new right-hand man and veteran of establishment politics told skeptical members of the RNC that Trump has “been projecting an image” and that “the part that he’s been playing is now evolving.”

From the Associated Press:

Trump’s newly hired senior aide, Paul Manafort, made the case to Republican National Committee members that Trump has two personalities: one in private and one onstage.

“When he’s out on the stage, when he’s talking about the kinds of things he’s talking about on the stump, he’s projecting an image that’s for that purpose,” Manafort said in a private briefing.

“You’ll start to see more depth of the person, the real person. You’ll see a real different guy,” he said.

So while we’ve seen a guy during this election campaign who’s been masquerading as a conservative, we’ll soon start to see the “real person”, a “different guy.”

The one we’ve seen for decades prior to this election season?  Uh huh.

How many conservatives (myself included) have said this how many times the first time Trump ran for president, and again this presidential cycle?

Donald Trump spent the last three decades or more advocating for liberal policies, and spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to help elect Leftists like Harry Reid and Hillary Clinton to keep them in power…and now we’re supposed to believe he’s a born-again conservative who wants to “make America great again”?

By hiring foreign workers and illegal aliens and protecting sanctuary cities for illegal aliens (while still claiming with his mouth to be tough on illegal immigration)?

By leveraging sweetheart “deals” with corrupt politicians to leverage the power of government to take people’s private property away from them for his private use?

By allowing men to join our wives, mothers and daughters in the restroom and locker room?

By going even further to attempt to normalize an aberrant sexual behavior and force a once-free people to affirm it?

By appointing pro-abortion judges to the Supreme Court so that the slaughter of innocent children can become even more entrenched in an unconstitutional fashion in our country?

By parroting the same Leftist propaganda that undermined our efforts to fight terrorism and belligerent despotism in the Middle East?

By making deals with the same anti-American socialists who have been wrecking this once-great country for decades?

By propping up those same anti-American socialists financially?

By lauding communist dictators and brutal thugs?

By backing massively wasteful federal government operations that are not authorized by the U.S. Constitution?

Yeah, that’ll do it.  That’s a real conservative hero. That’s a real Republican. Almost as good as a John Boehner or Mitch McConnell.

In other words, all the worst characteristics of a RINO establishment liberal–just without the “establishment” moniker since he comes from outside the political establishment.

I’ve respected Phyllis Schlafly and a number of other conservatives for years…but they actually fell for this crap???  How can we become so desperate to win that we’ll look over a proven conservative in favor of a loudmouth who pretends to believe what we believe and will (faux) proxy our rage the loudest?

Come on, folks. Let’s do what mature people do when we make a mistake: admit we were wrong, get our heads right, and try to repair the damage done by our mistake.

The hour is late, but there’s still time to get behind a win for the most dedicated and capable conservative candidate we’ve seen since Ronald Reagan.

The future and freedom of America depends on it.
