1945 Berlin Survivor to Speak in Rapid City
A young girl of 11 hides in the ruins of 1945 Berlin with her mother as the Soviet Army overruns the city in the final hours of the Third Reich. Ingrid Radke-Azvedo was witness to the brutal atrocities that comes from revenge. She will tell her story visually to the Black Hills Veterans Writing Group on Saturday, April 9, at Ellsworth Air Force Base’s South Dakota Air and Space Museum, 9-1130 am (first half hour is social period).
