One thing is certain. Neither Mr. Romney nor the Republican Party ever made the case for the sanctity of life or marriage in this election season. Sure, they mouthed their opposition to abortion and their support for traditional marriage, but they never really made their case to the American people as to why these issues are so critical to the health and prosperity of our nation. All we got when it came to social issues in Campaign 2012 were canned soundbytes from the Republican nominee.

Mission: To Change the Values of Those Who Vote Democrat
Since RINO Mitt Romney’s election loss last week the RINOs and their fellow liberals in the “mainstream” media and elsewhere are (predictably) giving Republicans advice on how to fix the problem. It is, of course, complete surrender of foundational Republican values. But Dennis Prager has another (and infinitely better) solution: communicate American values-and their superiority and desirability-to those groups who rejected the GOP’s muddled and conflicted message this election.

Richard Viguerie’s latest article asks the question that every conservative, every Republican, needs to ask themselves and ask everyone, if they have any aspirations whatsoever of not just advancing Republican values (let us acknowledge right that there are some Republicans who don’t give a flying rip about this-they just want power), but even winning elections in the future: Can A Party With No Ideology Win?

It seems that after a partial recount of some votes in Florida where there were several “irregularities” reported, Rep. Allen West (R-FL) has been declared the loser in his re-election bid. The article also states that there was a 141% voter turnout, which should set off alarm bells by itself. Of course, when such a thing adversely affects a conservative, it’s nothing to worry about, move along, move along.

Preliminary analysis of exit polls of people who voted suggest that many lower income white voters chose to stay at home rather than vote for the lesser of two evils. By this analysis, this drop in white participation rather than a massive increase in ethnic participation is likely what caused Romney to lose. These dropped out voters would not have liked Obama, but didn’t trust Romney either.

America has forsaken her first love. She has finally, and fully, given herself over to a licentious Lothario with whom she has increasingly flirted since her youth. He is sin – and, notwithstanding full knowledge of who he is and what he intends, with him she has lain. America has tasted the poisonous fruits of lust, pride, passion, and envy – sloth, frivolity, iniquity and entitlement. She has tasted of their sweet deception and found it irresistible. She has danced in the streets, intoxicated by the very poison that will be her undoing.

Late last year when a presidential primary candidate was asked how he was going to reach women voters, he responded that he was polling well with women. Oh, oh. He seemed clueless about what most women really want. Once again, women were being taken for granted and once again we could lose – big time. And lose, we did. Reaching women is not a new concept. The importance of our vote should be well-known, as women have registered and voted at a higher rate than men since the 1980.

The Republican Party lost the 2012 election while the conservatives watched from the sidelines. Republican moderates losing elections has become an all too common occurrence even though conservatives are the base of the Republican Party. It is not too early for the conservatives to start work to take back the Party and the country. The Republican establishment elite do not learn from its mistakes.

Disbelief is the word that defines the Republican state of mind in the wake of the 2012 re-election of President Barack Obama. The obvious questions are: “How can Americans have re-elected a president who has presided over an economy where unemployment still hovers at 8 percent?” And, “How can Americans have re-elected a president who still doesn’t grasp that his big-government policies are what have blocked our economic recovery?” The Republican Party needs to take responsibility for this disaster.

You probably expected that after four years, the American electorate would be a more intelligent and informed body, right? After all, we have had four years to not only hear how Obama responds to issues and see how he responds to issues, but as some claim, mankind is “evolving” so we should be more intelligent four years later. No, not at all.
