The establishment GOP or congressional party views things through the prism of maintaining power and risk avoidance because all can be made well when one of their preferred Republicans win the White House.

Before swinging the prison doors wide, Congress needs to consider that President Obama’s response to Ferguson and elsewhere has created a climate where police are unable to safely do the same job they did a few years ago.

Today, right now, victory needs to be declared and the protest abandoned. Otherwise, bloodshed is the natural course of events, and the spilling of the protesters blood will be worse than unnecessary, it will do immeasurable harm to the cause of private property rights that they seek to uphold.

2015 may be remembered as the year when the world finally was turned upside down with actions once deemed so bizarre that they would never even be considered becoming the norm, and the formerly accepted norm being shouted down by a mob that imposes its version of correctness.

The social fabric that binds America together as one has always been fragile, and to complete the fundamental transformation that Obama strives to achieve, it must be torn asunder from top to bottom in a wholesale surrender of the current rule of law to another set of laws composed not through consent, compromise and agreement, but instead through forced acquiescence.

Senate Republicans are scheduled on Jan. 11 to consider the nomination of Luis Felipe Restrepo for the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Why are Senate Republicans giving any more judges to President Obama in his lame duck year when their goal should be to bottle up the remainder of the Obama agenda?

Democrat Senator and future leader of that party in the Senate Chuck Schumer broke D.C. protocol by telling the truth about how the minority party still controls the agenda when he gloated, “Sen. [Majority Leader Mitch] McConnell wants to see the Senate work. But the good news for [Democrats] is, to make it work, he has to do basically our agenda.”

Speaker of the House Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) issued arelease hailing the passage of his omnibus federal spending bill titled, “House Passes Spending Bill to Advance Republican Priorities.” If the omnibus advances Republican priorities, the GOP officially died on Dec. 18, 2015.

With a President who makes the French seem aggressive in protecting their nation, and Republican congressional leadership that cowers in fear of him, it is no wonder that our nation turns to fantasy in search of truth, justice and the American way.

Just as Obama was more concerned with getting past his November re-election with his Benghazi spin, the seeming only concern coming out of San Bernardino was protecting President Obama’s aggressive Middle Eastern resettlement program from Congressional action in the upcoming omnibus spending bill for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2016.
