Rick Santorum must be racist because he thinks all people, regardless of ethnicity, should have the dignity of self-sufficiency. At least that’s how the NAACP sees it. There is no reason to apologize for telling the truth even if the NAACP attacks you for it. To apologize just hurts blacks and the whole nation and leaves the sharp weapon of racial intimidation always ready for use in the hands of the plantation masters.

Youths’ support for Ron Paul is misplaced
In the 20-plus years that I have worked as a conservative activist, I’ve spoken on almost 200 university campuses — usually to Republican and conservative groups. Over time, I have observed changes in attitude among many young Republicans — and I believe these shifts help explain the rise of Ron Paul. Where young Republicans once had a sense of purpose and traditional values, now many don’t want to hear about “values” such as marriage, life, or family-just talk about the economy.

Each and every one of our returning warriors embodies the virtue of our whole people. That virtue is the conviction that the struggle for human freedom must move forward without cessation. Star Parker The Wall Street Journal calls the economic implosion now taking place in Europe “a crisis of the welfare state.” The latest European nation to hit the wall is Italy, where national debt is 120 percent of GDP. That is, for every dollar their national economy produces, they owe $1.20. The Journal calls this a crisis of the welfare state because the Italian national debt is well in excess of the ability of Italians to pay its obligations and is the direct result of excessive government spending. When the Republican presidential candidates were asked in the most recent debate if the United States should help bail out these bankrupt European nations, the consensus response was “no.” This, I believe, is the correct answer for two reasons.
