Hypocrisy in the Hills: Environmentalist Breaks Law to Force Tree Cutting

Hypocrisy in the Hills: Environmentalist Breaks Law to Force Tree Cutting

The hypocrisy of so many environmental extremists simply knows no bounds, does it?  Oh, I’m not just talking about the kind that like to call themselves Christians while promoting an unbalanced worship of the earth. I’m not just talking about President Obama’s “science” advisor John Holdren lives high on the hog while stumping for the reversal of American development, or environmentalists like James Cameron who live in a meager 24,000 sq. ft estate while demonizing modern conveniences for the rest of us. No, we have some real home-grown environmental hypocrisy right here in the Black Hills.

Left Indicts Itself With Attack on Santorum ‘Phony Theology’ Statement

Left Indicts Itself With Attack on Santorum ‘Phony Theology’ Statement

The “mainstream” media and the rest of the Left has its underwear all in a bunch over Rick Santorum’s statement this weekend that President Barack Obama’s economic and environmental  beliefs are based not on the Biblical values that founded our nation but a “phony theology.” Isn’t it interesting that Leftists have nothing but acidic contempt for religious values…until theirs are called into question?

Rick Santorum Nails Global Warming Hoax

Rick Santorum Nails Global Warming Hoax

GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum apparently has the guts to call the hypothesis of anthropogenic global warming what it is: politics, not science. This is what American desperately needs in the White House: a president who not only doesn’t believe politically correct environmentalist garbage, but won’t even pay lip service to this nonsense.

Environmentalism Continues to Strangle the Economy

Environmentalism Continues to Strangle the Economy

Even if Washington D.C. politicians manage to balance the budget and resolve the current fiscal crisis, the economy is not likely to recover within the current regulatory environment, Myron Ebell, the director and of energy and global warming policy for the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) told listeners at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

GOP Continues to Aim for Foot With Debt Ceiling

GOP Continues to Aim for Foot With Debt Ceiling

One of the political rationales for giving the Obama Administration what it wanted on the payroll tax holiday and unemployment benefits extensions — which will add $101 billion to the debt this year alone and is not paid for — was to avoid another showdown in Washington, D.C. Ironically, in the process, House Republicans may have guaranteed that another controversial issue comes up before the election — the $16.394 trillion debt ceiling.

President’s Day – The Obama Delusion

President’s Day – The Obama Delusion

Of late, it has become common place for President Obama – in many of his speeches- to leave out the very One that our Founding Fathers knew to be the Foundation and Bedrock of this once great nation. It is from this One alone that “all men are endowed with certain unalienable rights”. It is from this One alone that men have any freedoms or human rights.

The Man Who Would Be King

The Man Who Would Be King

We have one last chance to save the republic as we have known it. Just as the Rome of Caligula and Nero still called itself a republic, so too in the coming era of Progressive centralization and control will our beloved country still be America.  The Constitution will remain on display in Washington.  However, in the world turned upside down, liberty will be circumscribed by political correctness and freedom will be defined by government regulations. This is a stunted, shabby future where everyone sinks to the level of the lowest common denominator.

For South Dakotans: Is it roll-your-own or store-bought or neither?

For South Dakotans: Is it roll-your-own or store-bought or neither?

A bill calling for a tax increase on roll-your-own cigarettes has passed in the state House and by the time you read this the bill will have died or passed in the Senate and be on its way for the Governor’s signature. Whether the proposed tax becomes law or dies somewhere in the Senate, the issue brings up a couple of interesting points.
