A question was asked at the Rapid City Legislative Crackerbarrel meeting today in Rapid City about “separation of powers” and how the executive branch heavily lobbies the legislative branch of South Dakota government in Pierre.

Many people today feel as if President Barack Obama has been leading America covertly into the socialism Bernie Sanders is overtly proclaiming. Many feel that they are no longer living in the America of their youth. To understand how we got here, it is necessary to understand how we got here.

I was blessed this week to spend time with patriots in Burns Oregon. The morning after arriving, the encampment at the Malheur Wildlife Refuge came to an end. So that night there were still TV trucks at the building where I was to speak. What sparked all these events is the essential issue of who owns the land.

On February 16, 2016, I helped a client from Saint John, Indiana. He came to my office with a medical bill and some other papers. After reviewing the papers, the client and I made phone calls to the firm that sent the bill and Medicare. In today’s society, we have allowed the lost of our country to dictate that we, as pastors or clergy, should stay away from politics. We have laid down our right as ministers of truth, and more importantly The Truth, and sat in the corner while this nation has been robbed of her stature as a God fearing nation.
