Today, South Dakota Secretary of State Shantel Krebs announced that a new recognized political party has been formed. The Constitution Party submitted 7,655 valid signatures.

One of the prime elements in the foundation of freedom is the universal right to express choices, thoughts, opinions, beliefs and convictions. In America, this right is enshrined in what we call “freedom of speech”, “freedom of the press”, “freedom of religion” and “freedom of association”.

As George Orwell-the famous writer who tried to teach us so much about Marxism and the Left through powerful novels like 1984 and Animal Farm-once said, “In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”

Can and should the Senate reject Supreme Court Nominee Merrick Garland? In the words and overtone of Vice-President Joe Biden, the Senate can and should refuse this nominee. In a speech on the Senate floor in June 1992, Mr. Biden, then chairman of the Judiciary Committee, said there can and should be a different standard for a Supreme Court vacancy “that would occur in the full throes of an election year.”

The passage of the Affordable Care Act — aka Obamacare — in 2010 launched the tea party movement and planted seeds of resentment toward the Washington establishment that rages across the nation today. And there’s no better of example of why this movement of outrage has grown and accelerated than the case — Zubik v. Burwell— now before the U.S. Supreme Court.

This week I had the opportunity to speak with two very different audiences. The first was in Annapolis where I testified before the House Judiciary Committee on the subject of our God-given right to carry firearms which is denied by our State “government.” I pointed out to them aspects of the Maryland State Constitution which require them, by the oath they have taken before Almighty God, to pass legislation that secures our right to carry.

On March 16, 2016, the South Dakota Attorney General held a community meeting inviting the press and the community in order to provide an update on the death and financial investigation into the Gear Up program. Prior to beginning the meeting, a pastor opened with a general prayer. The ACLU has characterized the prayer as a constitutional violation.

This clip from last night’s GOP presidential debate encapsulates marvelously the behavior of modern American government that is strangling this once-great nation, and highlights what sets Senator Ted Cruz head-and-shoulders apart from every other candidate in the race.

In America today, a debate rages concerning the legitimate role of government. Currently the federal government is controlled by a group of politicians who consider themselves the ideological descendants of the Progressive Movement.

While the press and V.L. are making the argument this recent case is about a rejection of the full faith and credit clause, it is not! This goes back to the SCOTUS opinion of Obergefell not being based on legal reasoning, history, tradition, the Court’s own rules, or the rule of law, but upon the empathetic feelings of the “five lawyers” in the majority.
