Santorum Opens Up Double-Digit Lead Over Romney
Rick Santorum has opened up a double-digit lead over Mitt Romney. Santorum is also several points ahead of Mitt “RomneyCare” Romney in Michigan. Even in Romney’s home state of Massachusetts, Santorum is ahead of Romney in the favorability ratings. Maybe people are finally pulling their attention away from American Idol and paying attention to the presidential election. Maybe they’re finally taking a look at Romney’s record and realizing he’s just a liberal with an “R” after his name.
Read more ›South Dakota Supports State Joint Authority Over Immigration Enforcement
South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today that South Dakota has joined other states in an amicus brief in support of state sovereignty and public safety as it relates to immigration enforcement. The United States Supreme Court has agreed to hear Arizona’s immigration case. South Dakota has joined with other states in support of Arizona, arguing that states have preexisting authority to make an arrest based on violations of federal law.

Slavery in Cuba began earlier and lasted longer than anywhere else in the Americas, from 1521 to the late 1870’s. Even afterward, conditions in Cuba remained so bad that President William McKinley called the “abhorrent conditions” in nearby Cuba “a disgrace to Christian civilization.”
