Ours was a family torn apart by divorce when I was only 6-years-old. So, I know too well the destructive effects that the dissolution of the family brings. When the familial relationship which God intended is broken, everyone involved suffers. Things are not as they should be and what is desperately needed is God’s restorative grace and mercy upon all involved. My mother was the instrument of this grace in my life and our family as a whole.

Give Me A Break: The War on Women?
I would have thought that a so-called educated bunch that allegedly knows what is best for the rest of us could have come up with something more ingenious than suggesting there is a “War on Women.” But then, I guess their points weren’t holding up, so they had to revert to childhood methods of trying to stop the intended from listening to the opposition by making the person (people) mad at them. I can just hear the conversation of two little kids.

Two new political parties have been formed and are now official in South Dakota. One could ask wasn’t the Republican or Democratic parties good enough for them? Obviously not. Why? Is all the haggling in Washington at least part of the cause? I believe it is. Forming new political parties is certainly a symptom of that disease in our nation’s capitol.
