As Shutdown Continues, Debt Ceiling Looms
As the partial government shutdown wears on in Washington, D.C., another potential standoff is right around the corner — this time it’s the $16.699 trillion debt ceiling. Treasury officials claim that come Oct. 17, the government will be unable to make payments on time and in full on the national debt, triggering the first default in U.S. history.

Is the First Amendment outdated? Leftists seem to think the Second Amendment is outdated, so why not the First…or the Fourth, or the Fifth? In truth, the only Amendment the Left likes is the part of the First Amendment they leverage to broadcast obscenity in public. They’ve made it pretty clear that they consider the Fourth Amendment to be obsolete, as well as the Tenth Amendment. But they hold particularly vehement loathing for the God-given right to keep and bear arms.

The foundational argument of those who support ObamaCare is that there are 10 million people without health insurance, and thus, without adequate health care. To them, that sad fact makes it reasonable to believe that every other American citizen should also then have to suffer worse health care than they now have, plus higher insurance rates to pay for the health care of that 3% of the population.
