Today I received the note below from Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Sadly, the DNC chairman’s logic is about as tidy as her hair. My comments are included in her letter in bold.

In our modern day and age when the “mainstream” media can’t be relied on to convey factual information to the American people, it falls to completely separate third party organizations to cut through the lies and keep the record straight. Vice President Joe Biden recently repeated the lie that the Obama Administration respects religious freedom. However, as Sarah Torre of the Heritage Foundation points out, if you are fined for exercising your religious convictions, you don’t have religious freedom. Instead, you have tyranny.

This woman named Tamra who called the Rush Limbaugh show yesterday has a firm grasp of what’s going on and what’s at stake in the latest round of the Left’s assault on decency and religious freedom. Tamra aptly points out that when women play the “victim card” like this, it sets back the gains women have made in freedom and independence. The women’s movement has claimed women are independent and capable, yet Sandra Fluke feels incapable of dealing with life without the aid of government power to force someone else to pay for contraceptives for her.

On MARCH 3, 1931, Congress adopted as the National Anthem “The Star-Spangled Banner,” written by Francis Scott Key during the War of 1812. The 4th verse inspired Congress to place the motto on the nation’s coins, MARCH 3, 1865, as House Speaker Schuyler Colfax noted.

What could strike more effectively at the heart of the left’s premises than the inscrutable death of a young and prodigiously talented, successful man — a husband and father to four young children — who still was scaling the heights of achievement? The left, after all, is about the pretense of planning, power and control. It’s about the belief that man — political man — can define and control the world and can appoint himself the final authority to determine what is fair and then mete out justice.
