Santorum Doing Better Than the Media Wants You to Think

Santorum Doing Better Than the Media Wants You to Think

The liberal RINO GOP establishment and their (for the moment) allies in the “mainstream” media are just so hot to marginalize someone who genuinely reflects Republican values, they just can’t help getting way out ahead of the facts. First they tried to rob Santorum of his legitimate victory in Iowa, and they’re doing it again in Michigan.

Driving the Taxpayer-Subsidized $100K Brick

Driving the Taxpayer-Subsidized $100K Brick

The bad news just keeps coming for the Obama Administration’s push to force electric vehicles on the public with the revelation that the much loved Tesla line up of vehicles have a singular problem — they become bricks if the battery runs out. And if they run down to a zero charge, you don’t just recharge it-you purchase a new battery to the tune of $32,000.

Oil: Price Manipulation or a Weak Dollar?

Oil: Price Manipulation or a Weak Dollar?

The underlying weakness of the dollar is the real cause for price pressures in commodities, include food, oil, gasoline, and precious metals like gold. An increase in one asset or another might be explained by a simple supply disruption or even overspeculation. But in a broad range of commodities — which are priced and traded in dollars — it looks much more like a monetary inflation problem. Commodities are often held as hedges against a weak dollar.

Why Do We Have Leap Year?

Why Do We Have Leap Year?

In 45 B.C., Julius Caesar replaced the calendars used throughout the Roman Empire based on the moon’s cycles with a calendar based on the sun, having 365 days and a “leap” day every 4th year. It was modified by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582 to omit leap days in years divisible by 100 but not divisible by 400. This was done to keep the date Easter after the Spring Equinox and near the Jewish Feasts of Passover, Unleaven Bread and First Fruits. Protestant Europe did not adopt the Gregorian reform till the 1700’s.

On Feb. 27, 2012, a teenager—reportedly a victim of bullying and something of a social outcast—walked into a Cleveland high school and opened fire in the cafeteria, killing two students and wounding three others. Obama Condemns Fiscal Responsibility

Obama Condemns Fiscal Responsibility

Speaking to the National Governors Association, Barack Obama implored governors from across the country to stop cutting spending: “Too many states are making cuts that I think are too big. Budgets are by choice, so today I’m calling on all of you: invest more in education, invest more in our children.”

Gravest Threat: Theocracy or Democracy?

Gravest Threat: Theocracy or Democracy?

A Christian theocracy is clearly not what our founders intended. But neither did they intend for the federal concentration of powers over matters as private as health care, education, retirement, nutrition, etc., etc.It is by no accident that the first ten amendments to the Constitution safeguard the rights of individuals and severely rein in the tendencies of a central government to overreach. Our founders sought to prevent a single group from tyrannizing everyone else by virtue of being a simple majority.

Obama’s Birth Control Bait and Switch

Obama’s Birth Control Bait and Switch

The ObamaCare mandate for contraceptives and abortifacients is more than mere politics as usual, it represents a fundamental attack on liberty in which the United States government is using its coercive power in an illegal manner to impose a controversial ideology on its citizens. Indeed, there are some who believe that President Obama’s true motive has less to do with birth control and more to do with government control, sending the message that it is not God but the State that is the final authority on questions of personal conscience and morality.

Roots of Govt Health Care in South Dakota in Zaniya Project

Roots of Govt Health Care in South Dakota in Zaniya Project

My friend and fellow South Dakota patriot Tonchi Weaver was recently interviewed on Liberty Today about the government health care machinations going on in South Dakota these days. As Tonchi points out, this push for government health care mandates goes all the way back to 2007 and the Zaniya Project commissioned to study health care in South Dakota. That commission found little need or reason for government health care intervention…but some “Republicans” who support government intervention are demonstrating that they aren’t going to be deterred by things like reality, freedom and liberty.
