On Tuesday, May 28, Michael Farris, Chairman of the Home School Legal Defense Association, filed an appeal to the entire 15-judge panel of the Sixth Circuit to re-hear the Romeike case, in which a three-judge panel in Cincinnati denied the German homeschooling family asylum for being persecuted in their home country.
