Men, Made of Sterner Stuff

Men, Made of Sterner Stuff

With Obama-enabler John Boehner retaining his Speakership, there will be no serious challenge of Obamacare, which is poised to strangle American small businesses, and impose harsh mandates and financial penalties on a populace already under severe wage pressure — even though Americans have electorally removed half of the Senators who voted for that Obamacare.

Teacher’s Bible Cookies Unconstitutional? NO!

Teacher’s Bible Cookies Unconstitutional? NO!

A California teacher is being called into question for allegedly handing out “Bible cookies” as rewards and promoting an after-school Bible club he helps to facilitate. John Alameda, a teacher at New Vision High School in Stockton, California, is being accused of “unlawful proselytization,” according to a small, misnamed “First Amendment group” that has charged Mr. Alameda with violating “Separation of Church and State”. But please note that the words “Separation”, “Church”, or “State” are not found in the First Amendment. I will grant the word “of” is used 5 times.

Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom

An Act for establishing religious Freedom. Whereas, Almighty God hath created the mind free; That all attempts to influence it by temporal punishments or burthens, or by civil incapacitations tend only to beget habits of hypocrisy and meanness, and therefore are a departure from the plan of the holy author of our religion, who being Lord, both of body and mind yet chose not to propagate it by coercions on either, as was in his Almighty power to do…

Mount Vernon

The Dismantling of a Lofty Perch

What patriotic conservative would not relish reading an article entitled, Mount Vernon opens library dedicated to Washington? How many of us would cheer and say “it’s about time?” But what we may get could be historical revisionism. The AP release begins in part with “…formally opened a new $47 million library dedicated to the study of America’s first president, with plans to host a series of scholars who will examine…” This was followed by, “And if those scholars occasionally knock Washington off his lofty perch as the flawless Father of our Country, that’s OK by Mount Vernon.”

What Our Founding Fathers Got Wrong

What Our Founding Fathers Got Wrong

Our Founding Fathers struggled to protect property rights, human rights and interstate commerce. They defended freedom admirably. It’s hard to believe they would both protest a tariff-created monopoly at the Boston Tea Party and then create one at the first congress.

Article 1 Section 8 from Page 2 of the U.S. Constitution

Government Limited to Certain Enumerated Powers

I have written numerous times about numerous statements made by James Madison (and other founders) which indicate that our federal constitution is a “limited government” constitution that restricts the federal government from acting ONLY on subjects specifically authorized by Article 1 Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution. Today I came across a new and powerful citation by one of the founders which reinforces this.

Rejecting the Founders

President Obama says Americans should reject the voices which warn of tyranny. Rejecting the wisdom of our nation’s founders is par for the course with Leftists.

I Agree With Senator Reid About the Gun Ban

I agree with Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who recently said, “I’ll vote for the ban because saving the lives of police officers, young and old, and innocent civilians, young and old, is more important than preventing imagined tyranny.” I agree that it would be crazy to miss an opportunity to save lives on the excuse of an imagined threat. But here in the real world, there are two problems with Reid’s statement.

The Founders: Right Then, Right Now

The Founders: Right Then, Right Now

ObamaCare is an abomination to the American way of life in many ways. Many groups, organizations, companies and people across the nation are getting engaged in fighting this monstrosity. Will you stand with them–and with the founders who established our nation–and do everything within your power to resist and overthrow this socialist tyranny?

1776 Painting of George Washington

Washington Still Leads

Friday, February 22nd, will be George Washington’s 281st birthday; our greatest American President, born in 1732 and passed away December 14, 1799. During those all too brief sixty-seven years, what a magnificent life! So why is it that modern day America seems so bent upon either ignoring or denying Washington’s greatness?
