Jan Brewer Veto Represents the Pursuit of Unhappiness

Jan Brewer Veto Represents the Pursuit of Unhappiness

In the time of the founding of America, when a Biblical worldview was predominant in the American people, the connection between following the Commandments and peaceable existence was clearly known, easily understood and evidentially experienced in the American culture. Indeed, living prosperously by living righteously is what Jefferson meant when he used the phrase “pursuit of happiness.”

Sign the Bill Gov. Jan Brewer Wouldn’t

“Remember the Arizona” was the rallying cry of American forces in the Pacific during World War II. The fall of the U.S.S. Arizona, along with other ships and sailors at Pearl Harbor, became emblematic of the freedom for which Americans were fighting. Recent events have ensured that “Remember Arizona” will now become a rallying cry for religious freedom.

Religious Liberty: The Capital By Which Our Country Operates

In 400 years, America may not look the same to the first settlers — but the battles it wages certainly would. Even after four centuries, true religious freedom is as scarce today as it was when the pilgrims stepped onto the ship that would carry them to the new world. The only difference is, the threats to that ideal comes not from a foreign power — but within.

What you probably HAVEN’T heard is how utterly hypocritical many opponents of this bill are.

Error in Arizona: When Facts Reveal Cowardice

At 680 words, Arizona’s SB 1062 didn’t take a yeoman’s effort to read. But it was an effort, unfortunately, that few people bothered to make. If they had, the debate over the state’s religious liberty measure would have been met by more yawns than pitchforks.

Travesty in Arizona: An Open Letter

I cannot fathom that Gov. Brewer sold out a moral society for a football game!! ONE lousy football game? I know the NFL is influential, and the NFL did threaten to withdraw the game next year from AZ. So let them. I would have called their bluff. Let them waste their money rescheduling it elsewhere. The Super Bowl has become the equivalent of the Roman sport of throwing Christians to the lions anyway.
