A woman who described herself as a teacher of the U.S. Constitution has gone ballistic over Bradlee Dean’s ministry effort at a gasoline station in Florida to drum up support for its campaign to teach the ethics, morality and responsibility of the Bible in public schools. See Video :

Bradlee Dean’s ministry, You Can Run But You Cannot Hide International, reaches out to America’s next generation “through principles of morality, true freedom, and personal responsibility.”

The organization explains its mission is to “equip our next generation with the Christian values that made America great through a unique avenue of music and educational event forums in colleges, schools, churches, festivals, and arenas.”

The goal is to present that message in schools.

The woman verbally and physically attacked two ministry workers Elizabeth Ilse and Chase Schomberg.

“Ilse was standing behind one of her ministry’s tables while distributing Christian literature to those visiting the gas station. She simply said, ‘Hello,’ to the woman, but after approaching and reading the sign on the ministry’s table that said, ‘Support Christianity in Public Schools, The Constitution, and Honoring Soldiers,’ the woman viciously attacked the cause by screaming ‘shame on you for wanting Christianity in schools,’ calling Miss Ilse a ‘bigot,’ and [she] stated that ‘Christians are the problem.’”

She threatens to call police, then yelled, “I’ll tell police you are not just harassing, but are assaulting me.”

Then she blasts the cameraman with her bag.

She speeds off, but returns a short time later to talk with police.

She doesn’t approach the ministry table again, but the police asked the ministry workers if they wanted to press charges against her.

The ministry and Dean have not decided whether to press charges as of yet.

It’s just one of a number of attacks in recent months on Dean’s ministry. A high school principal in Florida cut off Dean’s First Amendment rights mid-sentence. Dean later returned to the school to finish delivering his message. Another controversy over Dean’s appearance at a public school in Iowa where his ministry was accused of “Gay bashing” and warned by the fire chief that the town’s roads would be shut down to keep the band from returning! But after a letter from Liberty Council, Dean returned to Dunkerton and spoke at the city’s library during the Dunkerton Days festival.

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow has been served with a lawsuit by Dean alleging defamation for her references to Dean’s group. The case is on appeal.

Not to be left behind in the West’s headlong plunge into immorality and insanity, the British equivalent of the Girl Scouts, Girl Guides, has decided to embrace narcissism over God.

From the British Daily Mail:

Girl guides will no longer have to pledge their loyalty to God and country under radical changes revealed today.

Instead of professing patriotism and religious faith, girls joining the organisation will have to promise ‘to be true to myself’ and ‘to serve my community’.

The changes, which also apply to the Brownies end 100 years of tradition in the country’s biggest voluntary organisation for girls.

How did this come about? Did the rank and file girls, parents and leaders just decide God was a major drag and they needed to quit even pretending to follow Him?

They follow the appointment late last year of an abortion and contraception rights campaigner as the new chief executive in charge of Girlguiding.

Ah. Another radical Leftist activist guts another moral underpinning of society. As if there was ever any doubt.

Consider for a moment that new promise to “be true to myself.” According to the God that the Girl Guides have cast off, “being true to yourself” is a bad idea, rather like trying to use a broken compass or a compass with a magnet stuck to the bottom of it.

The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? (Jeremiah 17:9)

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; (Isaiah 53:6)

As it is written:

“There is no one righteous, not even one;
there is no one who understands;
there is no one who seeks God.
All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.”
“Their throats are open graves;
their tongues practice deceit.”
“The poison of vipers is on their lips.”
“Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”
“Their feet are swift to shed blood;
ruin and misery mark their ways,
and the way of peace they do not know.”
“There is no fear of God before their eyes.” (Romans 3:10-18)

Be true to yourself? That’s a sure-fire recipe for disaster.

Well, unlike the American Boy Scouts, at least the Girl Guides are being up front about throwing commitment to God overboard.

We are seeing the death-throes of the West…and the bloodthirsty barbarians are licking their chops.

Washington, D.C. - Senator John Thune (R-S.D.), Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, issued a statement today following the Senate’s rejection of his border security amendment (S. Amdt. 1197) to the immigration reform bill (S. 744). Thune’s amendment would have required construction of approximately 350 miles of reinforced, double-layer fencing, which was required by the immigration bill passed in 1996, as a trigger prior to Registered Provisional Immigrant (RPI) status being granted, with the remaining 350 miles being required before RPIs could apply for green cards. The amendment would have been paid for out of the $6.5 billion the immigration bill authorizes for border security.

“Our immigration system is broken and must be fixed,” said Thune. “Unfortunately, each time Congress has tried to fix our immigration system, promises to secure our border are never upheld. The completion of the fence required by current law would be a tangible demonstration that Congress and this administration are serious about border security. I am disappointed the Senate missed this important opportunity to communicate to the American people that we are serious about securing our border and enforcing the laws that we pass.”

Less than 40 miles of the 700 miles of reinforced, double-layer fencing required by the Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 have been constructed to date, despite this requirement being reiterated by the Secure Fence Act of 2006. Along with increased border patrols, greater situational awareness of the border, and a workable biometric entry-exit system, a physical fence along a portion of the southern border is a critical component of securing the border.

What part of “I’ve been lied to so many times that I can’t believe a word you say”, don’t they get?

Even if the government foiled a million attacks, how do we know the foiling ability had a single thing to do with gathering “all” of our phone records? Are we supposed to know because they told us so? How do we know it is the truth THIS TIME though it wasn’t last time or the time before?

And… while we are talking about it…

Since the IRS did, in fact, target the Tea Party, conservatives, Christians and Jews, how do we know NSA isn’t likewise being used to target them and any considered not in lock-step with this administration and other powerful ones? We don’t.

The problem is, there is a trust issue that they created, but want us to ignore. It doesn’t work that way. Maybe they need to spend another million or so on still another training session that explains to them how lying to people results in people no longer trusting them. Maybe this time they could learn Break Dancing. The title fits.

You say it, but how do we really know? We don’t! You made sure of that with your mis-speaks (lies)!

Soon after President Obama and his allies lost key votes in the U.S. Senate on their push for more federal gun control laws, they started pushing for immigration reform. Part of the purpose of the immigration reform drive is a stealth strategy against the Second Amendment and its supporters.

Obama hopes that adding millions of new voters from among the illegal aliens who get citizenship will overwhelm American voters and politicians who support the Second Amendment. Obama forces hope that the numbers are enough to take back control of the House of Representatives and retire many Democrats and Republicans in the Senate who stand with the Second Amendment.

Although some illegal immigrants are here because they fled homelands to escape oppression and really do appreciate the liberty that America has, many other illegal aliens are just here to get things. Some just want more free stuff from federal, state, or local governments. Many illegal aliens came here with help from criminal organizations and as agents of criminal groups. They help with the smuggling and distribution of drugs north of our borders. Some help with the theft of cars, trucks, and construction equipment and smuggle such things over the border to Mexico for a very profitable sale.

The government of Mexico supports the open borders and illegal immigration because it is so profitable for Mexico. The two biggest sources of foreign money for Mexico are the sale of oil from Mexico to other countries and the wiring of money to Mexicans from relatives in the U.S. Is it any wonder that Mexico is lobbying Congress for immigration reform that will solidify profits for Mexico even more?

It is the profits from the open border and illegal immigration trades, both legal and illegal, that fuel the money going to politicians and lobbyists to push for immigration reform.

Socially, many illegal aliens are from countries where the normal pattern is that the government has all the guns. They are predisposed to wanting guns outlawed because that is within their social norm.

Many of these illegal aliens have not even bothered to learn American English or study our country’s history and the reasons for not trusting government officials to be the only ones with guns.

That is what Obama and his allies are hoping to exploit. They hope to use millions of people who never learned the importance of the Second Amendment to vote Second Amendment supporters from office.

Second Amendment supporters should start warning other voters and every Second Amendment supporting Member of Congress about Obama’s stealth strategy against the Second Amendment in the immigration reform effort.

James Ware, a candidate for Controller in the state of California in 1978, was frustrated by the mail in voter registration system and decided to publicize the potential for abuse. Ware proceeded to register his cat to vote, and let the media in on the secret.

State authorities proceeded to threaten Ware with prosecution due to his abuse of the system, but his point was made, anyone or anything could be registered to vote, and with mail in voting, there was no way for the government to prevent voter fraud.

Incredibly, 35 years later, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down an attempt by Arizona to at least ensure that only legal citizens of the United States were registering to vote by requiring basic proof of eligibility to be provided with a registration.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz summarized the ruling on his Facebook page on Monday writing, “The U.S. Supreme Court ruled today that the federal ‘motor voter’ law preempts Arizona’s proof-of-citizenship requirement for voter registration.” Cruz continued by concluding, “This hole in federal statutory law allows non-citizens to register and thereby encourages voter fraud.”

To close the loophole, Cruz is promising to offer an amendment to the immigration bill currently in the Senate that would allow states, like Arizona, to include proof of citizenship requirements before someone could become a registered voter.

Fair and honest elections are foundational to the American concept of government by the consent of the governed.

This concept differentiates the United States from a country like Mexico, where a young Mexican tour guide once told me that rather than spending money on elections, it would be better to give it to the farmers. You see, he knew the election results had been fixed, and the system was corrupt.

The Supreme Court decision may have been the right one under the law, but it points to a larger problem in our current voting system — mail fraud.

A person, or an organization purporting to be a number of persons, can register to vote and vote and vote using mail-in systems without any actual, real live person confirming the voter’s existence.

While this system may be convenient, it is obviously fraught with the potential for fraud. In 2008, the far left advocacy group ACORN exploited these loopholes so egregiously, that Congress attempted to cut off any federal funds, compelling them to reconstitute into newly named entities run by the same fraudsters.

The group True the Vote was formed to root out this and other voter fraud around the country with the specific intent of trying to defend and restore faith in our nation’s election system without which the very legitimacy of the government is in doubt.

The result of True the Vote’s resolve has been well documented in the media through the IRS scandal where the founder of the group Catherine Engelbrecht found herself subjected to unprecedented IRS and other government harassment from a laundry list of alphabet agencies.

It is now 35 years since James Ware’s cat became a registered voter in California. It is past the time for our nation to have voting laws that both protect legal voters’ right to vote, but also protect the integrity of the electoral process.

Failure to do so will further rip the deeply frayed fabric of our nation’s social compact that holds us together.

You know those ObamaPhones you, the American taxpayer, are paying for? You probably didn't know that you were also helping to pay for other people's drug habits as well. Yes, undercover video reveals some people are accepting the taxpayer-funded ObamaPhones and then selling them to get money for drugs. Isn't it great to be forced to be a "charitable" taxpayer?

From the UK Daily Mail:

Undercover video shot in May by a conservative activist shows two corporate distributors of free cell phones handing out the mobile devices to people who have promised to sell them for drug money, to buy shoes and handbags, to pay off their bills, or just for extra spending cash.

The ‘Obama phone,’ which made its ignominious YouTube debut outside a Cleveland, Ohio presidential campaign event last September, is a project of the Federal Communications Commission’s ‘Lifeline’ program, which makes land line and mobile phones available to Americans who meet low-income requirements.

Lifeline was a $2.19 billion program in 2012.

Recipients most commonly demonstrate their need by flashing an Electronic Benefits Transfer card to verify their eligibility for welfare payments, or by bringing tax statements to a phone provider.

The phones’ legitimate purposes include poverty-level job applicants’ use as contact numbers for job interviews and emergency contacts for children of single parents.

But when James O’Keefe, whose Project Veritas is a perennial thorn in the side of progressive policymakers, sent an undercover actor into a Stand Up Wireless location in Philadelphia, the man’s stated purpose was to buy drugs.

YOU, the American taxpayer, get to pay for these ObamaPhones…and because government forces you to be “charitable,” you get to pay to help people buy drugs. Neat, huh?

I spent 10 years in the military, some of those years under President Ronald Reagan. I’ve seen the good that American military force can do in the world. I’m all for decisive action where there is a compelling American interest, or even a clear appeal for help against a belligerent enemy from one of our allies.

But I see no compelling American interest in play in Syria. I also see no clear “good guys” (both sides are scumbags who support terrorism and brutality).

Is President Obama looking to inspire more radical Islam “Arab spring”?

Looking at the outcomes in Egypt and Libya, that’s the last thing we need.

Chief Justice John “Obamacare Turncoat” Roberts and Justices Antonin Scalia and Anthony Kennedy (who concurred in part and concurred in the judgment) joined the commie-left wing of the Court in the ruling. In part, the Court used Article 1, Section 4 of the Constitution to “justify” the decision:

The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of [choosing] Senators…

Can any rational person believe that when our Founding Fathers hammered out that passage, they in any way whatsoever intended it to mean that it is acceptable for Congress—or in this case the extra-congressional Election Assistance Commission—to prohibit states from requiring people to prove they are American citizens to register to vote? The idea is preposterous.

Justice Antonin Scalia wrote in his majority Opinion:

States retain the flexibility to design and use their own registration forms, but the Federal Form provides a backstop: No matter what procedural hurdles a state’s own form imposes, the Federal Form guarantees that a simple means of registering to vote in federal elections will be available.

Our right to vote is a precious one, but nowhere in the Constitution did our Founders say we must guarantee a “simple means of registering to vote,” after all, there was no “voter registration” at the founding of our nation. However, as it stood, Arizona’s law requiring proof of citizenship was not an undue or complex burden on the people. From the Court’s Opinion are listed the proof of citizenship documents accepted by Arizona for voter registration by mail:

(1) a photocopy of the applicant’s passport or birth certificate, (2) a driver’s license number, if the license states that the issuing authority verified the holder’s U. S. citizenship, (3) evidence of naturalization, (4) tribal identification, or (5) “[o]ther documents or methods of proof . . . established pursuant to the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.”

Which of us legal U.S. citizens could not easily provide one of those proofs? There is nothing wrong with Arizona’s law, and it is in harmony with the federal requirement that voters must be U.S. citizens, but this bad Supreme Court ruling is simply another step in the dismantling of our formerly free Republic, paving the way for the cementing of the Third World invasion. Oh, yeah, let’s just trust people to “swear” they are U.S. citizens—no way should Arizona be allowed to make them prove it! Idiocy!

This is coming at the same time the amnesty wickedness is being steamrolled through the Senate, with a number of Republicans, including the despicable Marco Rubio (who we once gullibly liked), ignorantly supporting it, to the outrage of the majority of legal American citizens.

Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito were the two voices of reason, each writing a true and proper dissent to the putrid Opinion. Justice Thomas writes:

Congress has no role in setting voter qualifications, or determining whether they are satisfied, aside from the powers conferred by the Fourteenth, Fifteenth, Nineteenth, Twenty-Fourth, and Twenty-Sixth Amendments, which are not at issue here. This power is instead expressly reposed in the States.

The history of the Voter Qualifications Clause’s [Article 1, Section 2, clause 1] enactment confirms this conclusion. The Framers did not intend to leave voter qualifications to Congress. Indeed, James Madison explicitly rejected that possibility:

“The definition of the right of suffrage is very justly regarded as a fundamental article of republican government. It was incumbent on the convention, therefore, to define and establish this right in the Constitution. To have left it open for the occasional regulation of the Congress would have been improper.” The Federalist No. 52, at 323 (emphasis added).

Congressional legislation of voter qualifications was not part of the Framers’ design.

Elsewhere in his dissent, Justice Thomas notes:

Arizona sets citizenship as a qualification to vote, and it wishes to verify citizenship, as it is authorized to do under Article 1, §2. It matters not whether the United States has specified one way in which it believes Arizona might be able to verify citizenship; Arizona has the independent constitutional authority to verify citizenship in the way it deems necessary.

… By requiring Arizona to register people who have not demonstrated to Arizona’s satisfaction that they meet its citizenship qualification for voting, the NVRA, as interpreted by the Court, would exceed Congress’ powers under Article I, §4, and violate Article 1, §2.

Justice Alito puts it clearly, as he states in his dissent:

The Court reads an ambiguous federal statute in a way that brushes aside the constitutional authority of the States and produces truly strange results.

Under the Constitution, the States, not Congress, have the authority to establish the qualifications of voters in elections for Members of Congress. See Art. I, §2, cl. 1 (House); Amdt. 17 (Senate). The States also have the default authority to regulate federal voter registration. See Art. I, §4, cl. 1. Exercising its right to set federal voter qualifications, Arizona, like every other State, permits only U. S. citizens to vote in federal elections, and Arizona has concluded that this requirement cannot be effectively enforced unless applicants for registration are required to provide proof of citizenship. According to the Court, however, the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA) deprives Arizona of this authority. I do not think that this is what Congress intended.

It’s sickening that only two justices got this one right. We’re in scary times here in America, and they’re getting scarier by the minute. Those of us who are truly watching can easily see that our nation has been taken over by evil people who are systematically undoing the foundation of our country. But, it’s not like Barack Obama (or whatever his name is) didn’t warn us that he was set to fundamentally transform the United States of America; it’s just that too few of us knew what a breathtakingly diabolical statement that was and that he did indeed mean it. In fact, it’s one of the very few truthful things Obama has ever said to us.
