Let divines and philosophers, statesmen and patriots, unite their endeavours to renovate the age, by impressing the minds of men with the importance of educating their little boys and girls, of inculcating in the minds of youth the fear and love of the Deity…in short of leading them in the study and practice of the exalted virtues of the Christian system. — Samuel Adams

Earth Day: Celebrating Statism

Adam Bitely

Each year on April 22, Americans celebrate Earth Day. While the “holiday” is dressed up as a day to preserve the Earth, it serves little more as a day to attack the benefits of capitalism and modern society. Does anyone really know what Earth Day is all about? Not only is April 22 Earth Day, it is also the Birthday of Vladimir Lenin and the National Day of Communism in the U.S.S.R..

Why Do So Many Muslims Embrace Religious and Ideological Warfare?

Victor Sharpe

The question repeatedly posed by the talking heads on the TV networks and cable television is how and why so many Muslims, young and old, are living in the West and enjoying all the material and educational benefits bestowed upon them -- and also committing hideous acts of terror and perpetrating atrocities upon innocent civilians, even against their very own neighbors.

SETI and Scientists Who Can’t Recognize Intelligent Life

Bob Ellis

I took a tour of a radio telescope when I lived in England. It was impressive. Many of these telescopes are intended specifically to listen for signs of intelligent life in the universe. How do they do this? Well, if random patterns come in (which they do all the time from various natural sources), it is assumed that this is NOT a sign of intelligent life. If, however, a regular pattern came in, and one that had measured complexity, then that would be a pretty good sign that this was some sort of signal from an intelligent source.

Why is the World Such a Mess?

Bob Ellis

Why is the world such a mess? Why do so many bad things happen? Why is there so much suffering? These questions may be especially compelling in light of the assertions by Christians that God created the world. How could an all-powerful , good God create such a rotten place?

Evidence for a Young Earth

Bob Ellis

This edition of Creation Magazine Live examines some of the multitude of evidences that the earth and everything on it are relatively young, i.e. not millions and billions of years, but just a few thousand years old. These evidences include "living fossils," soft dinosaur tissue, mitochondrial DNA, examples of fast geological change, and more.

Big Bang Belly Flops

Bob Ellis

Isn't it interesting how many so-called scientists tell us with absolute certainty that our plant is 4.5 billion years old and the universe is approx. 13.5 billion years old? As this video points out, in 2004 the magazine New Scientist published an open letter from 33 leading scientists who pointed out that the big bang theory is based on hypothesis and guesswork, things that have never been observed, contradictions between the claims of the theory and actual observational science.

Science Surprised by Surtsey

Bob Ellis

We've all heard from "scientists" that the Grand Canyon and other geological wonders took millions of years to form. How do "scientists" know this? Were they there? Was a written record left that verifies these geological features took millions of years to form? Ah, no. In fact, there are examples around the world of major geographical changes taking place in a very short time.

IRS Commissioner Upset by Political Questions

Rick Manning

In an ironic twist, during former IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman's appearance before the House Government Oversight and Reform Committee, he recoiled when asked about his political activities in the past. Imagine the rudeness of a member of Congress asking a witness who is embroiled in a scandal involving the targeting of the Administration’s political enemies, about his own political allegiances.

Rubio Disagreed With Himself on Amnesty

Bob Ellis

In 2010 Rubio said we can't give amnesty to the people who violated our borders and broke our laws because it wouldn't be fair to those immigrants who have gone by the rules and done things lawfully. Rubio even went to the point of stating, "Earned path to citizenship is basically code for 'amnesty." Why does Rubio now disagree with himself?

In Great Britain, two Muslims hacked a British soldier to death just 200 yards from an army barracks. According to the Daily Mail, a video has emerged showing a man with bloody hands, carrying knives and ranting 'We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you', after a serving soldier was hacked to death by two men just 200 yards from an Army barracks.

Republican Senator Doesn’t Trust Republicans

Bob Ellis

Looks like I'm not alone in my distrust of "Republicans" to do the right thing. An elected Republican in the U.S. Senate says he doesn't trust "Republicans" any more than he trusts Democrats to do the right thing.

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the party over to the so-called moderates wouldn't make any sense at all." - Ronald Reagan, Nov. 10, 1964
