Our Priorities Are Reversed

June 20, 2012   ·   By   ·   0 Comments

citizenshipThe sunshine is starting to fade down here in Florida as it appears that a portion of legally registered voters are now offended when asked to show their proof of citizenship.

This objection, highlighted on the front page in my local version of the MSM (main stream media) is noteworthy only by its revision of priorities.

Consider the extra effort which this requirement entails and at the same time, what it protects. Then consider what we have come to accept. Give a thought to a setting where Washington can eliminate the manufacture of incandescent light bulbs, or continue from the opening legislation which partitioned smokeless compartments in commercial flights to now outlawing tobacco use in open air settings. If that’s not enough, I must have missed the public’s indignant roar as government takes delight in trashing our unalienable Fourth Amendment rights? And now, having to prove citizenship?

Is this aversion to inconvenience the price of convenience? There was a time that the advertising world championed a product by assuming that its customers would gladly “walk a mile” for its product. Would that “hook” work today? Amazingly, that particular cigarette company enjoyed untold sales from the pride that was generated. Of course, that was a time before push button gadgetry made laziness a full-time career and the discomfort from any additional effort became that of an “above and beyond” undertaking.

While these comparisons may offer a discomforting view of our society, they are pretty much on the mark. The question for all Americans is, “what happened to our priorities and just what is worth preserving and defending?

I sense that we “radicals” of the “Christian Right,” or any other “Right,” will immediately and proudly offer up proof of our American citizenship. I mean, isn’t the claim of being an American just the most precious possession? “Hell yes, I’m an American and here’s my proof!” What’s all the fuss about?

Who isn’t aware of our growing uncertainty from election results? It’s become so common place that given a close voter tally, the loser immediately files for a“recall.” To say that our “freeelections” have come under suspicion would be an understatement.

Here in Florida it was discovered, by comparing driver licenses with voter registration records, that there were approximately 182,000 registered voters who have yet to prove their American citizenship. Obviously, this is not an inconsequential number.

From a realistic viewpoint, let us all agree that the vast majority of those questionable 182,000 will pull the Democrat lever. Now also let us admit that the Democrat Party has a history of courting any and all minority voters. Next to consider is the latest Constitutional crime committed by our Marxist President. In addition to the criminality of this action, it also cements the extent to which one major American political entity will venture in order to remain in control. It also validates the degree to which our Country is in peril.

On one hand, these voter inducements, including this illegal use of a Presidential Executive Order (EO), comes off as “no big deal” to many of the Democrat persuasion. But on the other hand, those who applaud this latest EO travesty are highly offended when authorities ask them to show proof of their citizenship? Their inconsistent outrage is as self incriminating as is their inherent complicity with such criminal policies.

Listen to the flimsy objections from the group, Advancement Project. Quoting its co-director Judith Browne Dianis, “We can’t allow partisans to decide that they are going to burden the right to vote for their own gain. American citizens who want to vote should not have to face this kind of extra burden and barrier to voting.”

It should be noted that Ms. Browne’s organization has filed a lawsuit against the State of Florida claiming that this action is within 90 days of an election (primary). And the usual charge of discrimination accompanies their action.

This objection of an “extra burden and barrier” is unsubstantiated given the many instances where providing a personal ID has become a normal routine. As to the charge of “discrimination,” a co-defendant should and could be this current Presidential Administration and it subordinating elves; based upon the direct effects from their open border policies. The fact that the majority of names listed are of Hispanic origin bears a direct correlation to Obama’s refusal to defend our Southern borders against this invasion.

Of primary importance to all freedom loving Americans, and to all those who have gained the public’s trust through elections, should be the defiant mindset exhibited by Ms Dianis. Referring to this Florida lawsuit, Ms. Dianis commented that this action represented “a warning to other states.”

What has grown out of our disregard for border integrity is a situation which now presents a sizable threat to our laws and our way of life. La Raza is intent, more so than we. Their own statements claim the inevitable repossession of our southwestern States. Despite their illegal presence and associated menaces, we have politicians who direct more loyal attention and concern for the intruder than towards our citizens.

This entire voter ID issue is basically absurd. Who is not for the required integrity which goes hand in hand with free elections? The answer is the Democrat Party. To protest this momentary requirement, while fully aware of this ongoing and growing attempt at voter fraud, is to demonstrate just how cumbersome they consider freedom to be. Additionally, we now see by their own actions, a determined effort to not only maintain political control but also and more importantly, to destroy our American way.

We are in a war. Our adversary willingly charges into a fray which is so non-sensical that logic and common sense, rather than judicial decree, should carry the outcome. Yet they are unhesitant in their assault. Why? Because their strategy is to dismember all that is American. All traditions, all societal standards, all moral values and in plain talk, all “Yankeeism!” Our future, if we fail to respond will not even equal their current predicament since a Country worthy of invading will not exist. This is our time, our place, our Alamo.

In closing, yes there is a Hispanic unbalance to those 182,000 question marks. There is also a Hispanic unbalance with the illegal entries into our Country. As their propagation regimen continues to accelerate, so will their numerical strength. And still, the MSM reports that the total illegal immigrants residing in our Country remains stagnant at eleven million. Amazing!

Lastly, on the front page today, “Voter Purge” caught every reader’s eye. An anti voter ID by-line followed with, “Woman who cast ballots since 1956 has eligibility questioned.” This slight inconvenience is a non-issue verses the reaction from our elected County Supervisor of Elections. She stated her approach as, “most, if not all, county election supervisors have suspended purging voters’ names after two lawsuits were filed.”

Without even a day in court, Ms. Dianis’ action seems to have already produced a “W.” Again, we must ask of our priorities and are we worthy of their defense?

Rubio Has Liberal Record on Immigration in Florida Legislature

Bob Ellis

Like many conservatives, I once thought Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) was a solid, reliable conservative. Then he joined with the so-called "Gang of 8" in crafting a sellout amnesty proposal that Rubio and some others still claim isn't amnesty even though it clearly is. Now his liberal illegal immigration record in the Florida legislature is coming to light, and some things are suddenly becoming more clear.
