I do not believe that the Constitution was the offspring of inspiration, but I am as perfectly satisfied that the Union of the United States in its form and adoption is as much the work of a Divine Providence as any of the miracles recorded in the Old and New Testament. — Benjamin Rush, To Elias Boudinot on July 9, 1788. Letters of Benjamin Rush, L. H. Butterfield, ed., (Princeton, NJ: American Philosophical; Society, 1951), Vol. I, p. 475.

More Liberal Property Destruction, Disrespect for Law and Order

Police Station Vandalism

KTVU TV in San Francisco reports a band of thugs went out Monday night (gearing up for Marxist May Day?) and vandalized a police station and several nearby businesses and vehicles.  One SUV had the window knocked out and a lit flare tossed inside.

These marauders weren’t clearly identified as Occupy Wall Street protesters, but consider that this is the OWS modus operandi. Property destruction and contempt for law and order is what the OWS movement does best. Consider, too, that Leftists have been ginning up for the Marxist holiday May Day, and again this falls right in line with the Marxist ideology of the Occupy Wall Street movement. Dollars to dimes, there’s no doubt: this was the OWS crowd.

If you’re an American who hasn’t really followed current events for the past year or two, and maybe you don’t really know all that much about the differences between the Left and the Right, you really should pay close attention to the Occupy Wall Street movement. They are living out the anti-free market, class warfare rhetoric that liberals have been reciting for years. Unlike the political class who just talk or at the most vote Left, the Occupy Wall Street movement is DOING the rhetoric. They are taking the Marxist class envy mantra to its natural and logical conclusion.

So if you’re a “moderate” or similar political persuasion, maybe a person who is a single-issue voter for the Democrat Party (e.g. Social Security or such), or you have bought into the “the Democrats are for the little guy” rhetoric but you don’t really know for sure what the Left stands for, give the behavior of the Occupy Wall Street movement a real close look. Consider that the OWS rhetoric is the same rhetoric you’ve been hearing from Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and the whole Hee-Haw gang for decades: hatred of the free market and anyone who has more than them. Consider that the Democrat Party embraced the OWS movement when it kicked off last year.

So when you’re thinking about where to put your vote this election year, remember these things, consider where the REAL extremism lies in politics today. Consider which party and which ideological movement is really in line with your values…and which is reminiscent of some third-rate country busy trying to destroy itself.

Then vote accordingly.

FrackNation: Setting the Record Straight

Bob Ellis

Looks like Zo and I have more in common than just conservatism. We both loved Battlestar Galactica (the old one) as kids, and thought Sheba was hot. But the frack they talked about isn't the kind of frack Alfonzo Rachel is talking about today: it's the fracking that produces more energy for us. I'm with him there, too. Zo discusses a film called FrackNation which dispels some of the anti-energy propaganda put out by the Left.

The Polls & What They Say

Carrie K. Hutchens

Polls, what do they tell us? Maybe a great deal and maybe only what a small group might think or wish those in power to think. But then... if one poll result doesn't agree with one's opinion... a search of the net will most likely turn up one that does. Amazing how that works.

‘Narcissist-in-Chief’ humiliates himself, yet again

Dr. Theo

When I saw the photo on The Drudge Report my reaction was the same as almost any other current or former member of the Armed Services—disgust. It reminded me of the Clintons who used uniformed military officers as servers to pass drinks and hors d'oeuvres at one of their White House gatherings.

Kirkeby Mailer in the Rapid City Mayoral Race

Bob Ellis

This mailer went out yesterday regarding the Rapid City mayoral race. We have an establishment "Gov. Daugaard is our supreme being" RINO Mark Kirkeby running against incumbent Mayor Sam Kooiker. Rapid City voters know what they're getting with Kooiker, since he has served them for years on the city council and now for one term as mayor. The voters also deserve to know what they would be getting with Mark Kirkeby.

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the party over to the so-called moderates wouldn't make any sense at all." - Ronald Reagan, Nov. 10, 1964
