Religion should therefore be considered as the first of their [Americans] political institutions. From the start, politics and religion have agreed and have not since ceased to do so. — Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America, 1835

Political Musings for the Week Ending Apr. 14, 2012

Democracy - “Democracy is being allowed to vote for the candidate you dislike least.” Robert Byrne.

Politics– Conservatives and TEA Partiers will “overwhelmingly” vote for Mitt Romney in November, because the alternative of four more years of Barack Obama is so much worse!

Politics – Voter Question: “How did that vote for Obama work out for you? Are you better off today than when Barack Obama was elected? Is he making the economy better or worse?

Politics – Voter Caution: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me! Once a mistake; Twice a fool!

Politics – Barack Obama has forfeited any credibility with his serial lies, half-truths, false strawmen, dissembling, redefinition of words, and claiming credit for others hard work.

Politics– The real Obama is not revealed delivering a scripted teleprompter speech, but his real views are uncovered when he talks off-script, and appears leftist, conniving and shallow.

Politics– Obama continues to struggle to package his reelection and define his campaign slogan, but nothing yet captures his strategy of blaming others for his under-achievements.

Media– The Associated Press (AP) acronym is more accurately defined as “Administration Propagandists”, since their media coverage has a decided and obvious leftist slant.

Media– In a recent poll, 63% of respondents said the media were “politically biased in their reporting;” 66% believe that news stories are inaccurate; and 42% say the press is immoral.

Media– Newspapers continue to hemorrhage readers with only political ads in the 2012 election to save them, but I expect many newspapers will disappear after the next election.

Politics– I expect that the 2012 Presidential election will be the most racist campaign, with baseless accusations used to distract voter attention from Obama’s record of failure.

Politics– If the Republican Party nominates Mitt Romney as their Presidential candidate, I expect that the TEA Party members bail out of the Party in droves to become Independents.

Democracy - “A free America… means just this: individual freedom for all, rich or poor, or else this system of government we call democracy is only an expedient to enslave man to the machine and make him like it.” Frank Lloyd Wright.

Economy– Free market economic policies based on entrepreneurship, open borders, and competition grow economies, while socialism has failed everywhere it has been tried.

Finance– The largest and most influential financial institution in the world today is the U.S. Government, with its $2.7 trillion housing, farm, business, and educational credit programs.

Energy– The EPA continues to subsidize biofuels allowing 15% ethanol, delivering less miles per tank than gasoline, fewer miles from each tank, and increasing driver cost per mile.

Energy– A Harris poll found that more than 80% of U.S.voters support increased domestic oil and gas production to create and preserve jobs, lower pump prices, and increase revenues.

Healthcare– The only acceptable outcome of the Supreme Court ObamaCare review is declaring the legislation unconstitutional, otherwise liberals will claim victory and try again.

Taxes– Obama demands a so-called Buffet Rule tax increase, a non solution to a non-problem intended mainly to distract from the administration’s non-solutions to real problems.

Taxes– A January 1st $494 billion tax increase is scheduled, including expiration of the 2001 and 2003 Bush tax cuts, expiration of the payroll tax cut, and new ObamaCare taxes.

Housing– The White House continues the “Big Lie” blamingbanks for the mortgage crisis with the media going along, ignoring evidence that federal credit quotas were the root cause.

Civil Rights – The U.S. is the least racist and least xenophobic country in the world, and most foreigners know this, and most Americans suspect this, but the left and the blacks deny this.

Debt– I expect that the country’s credit rating will again be downgraded after Congress debt ceiling discussions again fail to find sufficient spending cuts to halt deficit spending.

Deficit – I expect one or more states to declare bankruptcy by 2012 and seek assistance to recover from the bad economic decisions of the past under federal judicial protection.

Politics – “Politics is war without bloodshed, while war is politics with bloodshed.” Mao Tse-Tung.

Latin America – Obama will attend the sixth Summit of the Americas in Columbia primarily to pander to his fastest growing voting block, but accomplish little of real national interest.

Middle East – The term “Arab Spring”was born of optimism, not analysis as we see one country after another emerging with Islamist governments and little democracy.

Africa– I expect that Obama will create a “crisis”so he can inject American troops into an African country to demonstrate his “military leadership” in this Presidential election year.

Israel– I expect that Israel will be attacked by Hamas again in 2012 and the IDF will retaliate by invading and then annexing Gaza based on the concept of defensible borders.

Israel – I expect that Israel will suffer a nuclear attack from Islamist extremists by 2012, and Obama will stand aside and not help defend this longtime ally.

Asia – I expect that North Korea will attack South Korea and attempt to reunite Korea by the 2012, and Obama will be an unwitting accomplice as he abandons this ally in a time of war.

Taken all together, the objective data is dramatically conclusive.  The Obama (OWHNI) administration is destroying our nation.  And yet, many still enthusiastically support him.  If that doesn’t demonstrate the power of deception, I don’t know what does.

For purposes of citation of source, where did you find the graph comparing November 2008 to March 2012, or did you compile the data yourself?

Tea Party: Ever the Villain in the Eyes of the Left

Bob Ellis

This is a great monologue, as well as discussion afterward, by Greg Gutfeld on Fox News' "The Five." This line from Gutfeld says it best: "For the media, this has to be awkward. To them, the Tea Party is like an old dog they drove out to the woods that found its way back." That goes for pretty much all of the liberals, including the conservative-loathing RINOs within the Republican Party--who were plenty happy to take the Tea Party's electoral help in 2010, but treated Tea Party patriots like red-headed bastard children other than that.

Obama’s Crown vs. Washington’s Cross

Bradlee Dean

As the White House has been slammed with scandals such as Benghazi, Extortion 17, the AP phone tapping scandal, targeting FOX News, and the IRS targeting conservative groups, President Obama appeared before the nation at a press conference and had the “audacity” to call up two marines to hold an umbrella for himself and the Turkish Prime Minister, stating, “Why don’t we get a couple of Marines [to hold umbrellas.] They’re gonna look good next to us.” What a stark contrast to our first president, General George Washington!

Resisting the Tide of Secularism

Ken Connor

Forces antagonistic to religion dominate our courtrooms, our classrooms, and that most potent platform of public influence, the entertainment industry. Stridently ideological and convinced that the forces of reason and progress are on their side, these secular shapers of culture will not be satisfied until every last vestige of religious influence is exorcised from the public square. These individuals reject the fact that the Christian religion played an integral role in the shaping of America's political traditions and the spirit of liberty and equality that is unique among nations.

The Multi-Agency Attack on Conservatives

Robert Romano

As Sherlock Holmes and Mr. Spock were always fond of noting, when attempting to unravel a whodunit, a useful postulate is: “When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.” Point in case is the targeting by multiple government departments and agencies at the federal and state level, by elected officials, and by Democrat Party organizations of Catherine Engelbrecht, founder of True the Vote, a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring honest elections and ballot integrity by targeting voter fraud.

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the party over to the so-called moderates wouldn't make any sense at all." - Ronald Reagan, Nov. 10, 1964
