The Left Wants to Party and Make You Pick Up the Tab

February 21, 2012   ·   By   ·   2 Comments

A friend posted an article to Facebook last night, and I was immediately struck by the simple yet profound truth of the article’s headline: The Church should ‘stay out of the bedroom,’ but pick up the tab for what happens there?

From LifeSiteNews:

President Obama also erroneously claims that access to these services is in the interest of women’s health, although none of these services are necessary to prevent or cure a disease or pathological medical condition. Instead, they take a perfectly healthy reproductive system and render it dysfunctional and sterile. Hormonal contraceptives are also associated with increased blood pressure, blood clots and an increased risk for breast cancer. In addition, hormonal contraceptives have been shown to double the risk of contracting HIV/AIDS. No medical association recommends the use of hormonal contraceptives as routine preventive care for healthy women. They are only used for the disruption of normal fertility.

In light of these facts, it becomes difficult to argue that the use of contraception, sterilization and abortion inducing drugs are required preventive medicine. These are purely elective treatments that prevent the natural and healthy consequences of a certain lifestyle choice. Pro-choice advocates demand that the Catholic Church “stay out of the bedroom,” then they demand that the Church pick up the tab for what happens in the bedroom.

Indeed, that is the truth of so much of the agenda of sexual license being pushed by the Left.

On one hand, the Left broadcasts sex and sexuality across every public area of modern life…and when decent people oppose it and point to the sacred nature of human sexuality, liberals hypocritically accuse decent people of being “obsessed with sex.” (Of course, many of us know that is nothing but a flimsy excuse from the losing end of an argument to silence their betters)

On the one hand, the Left insists that sex with anyone at any time in any manner be not only allowed but celebrated, state-sanctioned and rewarded…while insisting the grownups of society foot the bill for their sexual anarchy.  No-fault divorce and premarital sexual license costs the taxpayers about $12 billion a year in a variety of ways including the poverty that is literally bred from unwed parenthood, juvenile delinquency, children with academic problems, emotionally maladjusted children,  crime, substance abuse, and generational dependency and dysfunction. A lackadaisical attitude about marriage and allowing some people to counterfeit it only adds to the devaluation of marriage and breakdown of the family.

The monetary cost of sexual anarchy alone is staggering, but when you consider the intangible but very real human cost of this irresponsible agenda played out in broken hearts, broken dreams, frustration, anger, fear, embarrassment, confusion, insecurity, suffering and sometimes death…one has to wonder how we could have ever been fooled into thinking that the promise of sexual autonomy was going to bring some sort of paradise of happiness.

I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of picking up the tab for the irresponsible Left.  It’s high time the grownups were back in charge.  Are you ready?

I have seen for myself many examples of how inappropriate sex damages those both directly and indirectly involved. And I wonder if, these days, so many people don’t recognize that damage because they haven’t had the chance to study a person who’s *not* damaged that way?

‘Narcissist-in-Chief’ humiliates himself, yet again

Dr. Theo

When I saw the photo on The Drudge Report my reaction was the same as almost any other current or former member of the Armed Services—disgust. It reminded me of the Clintons who used uniformed military officers as servers to pass drinks and hors d'oeuvres at one of their White House gatherings.

Kirkeby Mailer in the Rapid City Mayoral Race

Bob Ellis

This mailer went out yesterday regarding the Rapid City mayoral race. We have an establishment "Gov. Daugaard is our supreme being" RINO Mark Kirkeby running against incumbent Mayor Sam Kooiker. Rapid City voters know what they're getting with Kooiker, since he has served them for years on the city council and now for one term as mayor. The voters also deserve to know what they would be getting with Mark Kirkeby.

Liberal Hijacking of the National Conversation

Bob Ellis

This video of Glenn Beck does some jumping around, but there is one overriding theme: the hijacking of the national conversation by the morally bankrupt Left. Please take the time to watch this, and then ask yourself some tough questions, including: "Have I been taken in by any of this? Have I let them silence me? Have I let them intimidate me from standing up for what is right?" If you don't like the answers you come up with, what are you going to do about it?

Abortion? Right move is crisis counseling, birth

Star Parker

According to pro-abortion reasoning, poor women -- desperate because of an unwanted pregnancy, pressed because regulations and costs make abortion difficult to get -- turn to sleazebag doctors who will do it cheaply, with no regard for the woman, the law or safety. But it is ironic that those who call themselves "pro-choice" argue that the only alternatives facing low-income women are unsafe abortions done by sleazebags or government-subsidized abortions. There is another choice, but those who call themselves don't want women, particularly poor women, to consider it. This option is called birth.

Rep. Kelly Rakes IRS Officials Over the Coals

Bob Ellis

This is a very interesting and telling interview from Rep. Mike Kelly (R-PA) of IRS Commissioner Steven Miller over the Obama Administration scandal involving IRS harassment of Tea Party and other conservative groups. I don't know why Kelly isn't trying to extend an olive branch. Why isn't he trying to find common ground? Why isn't he trying to persuade this guy to see things his way? Why is he being so mean?

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
