On my family’s recent vacation to Washington D.C., my children were disappointed that they wouldn’t be able to go to the top of the Washington Monument and see D.C. from the highest point in the city as I did a few years ago; the monument is closed for earthquake repairs. But I did a little research and found that the second highest publicly available view in D.C. is from the Old Post Office Clock Tower in downtown D.C. near the J. Edgar Hoover FBI Building.

Budget crisis has its roots in erosion of values

As a tea partier, I’d like my neighbors to agree with me that personal responsibility, traditional values and limited government is the best way to build a healthy and prosperous personal life and nation. If they don’t agree, they can do what they want. But the world according to the big-government, morally relative left is much different. Price tag of big government, moral relativism — hundreds of billions. Price tag of limited government, personal responsibility — zero.
