More Islamic Violence in Britain as Soldier is Hacked to Death

Muslim_hackerIn Great Britain, two Muslims hacked a British soldier to death just 200 yards from an army barracks.

From the Daily Mail:

A dramatic video tonight emerged of a man with bloodied hands, carrying knives and ranting ‘We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you’, after a serving soldier was hacked to death by two men just 200 yards from an Army barracks.

The man can be seen and heard talking to the camera. The video came as terrified eyewitnesses saw two men shot by police marksmen after the machete attack in Woolwich, south-east London.

The two men are thought to have waited around for 20 minutes until Metropolitan Police officers arrived and then tried to attack them – but were swiftly shot by armed policemen, including a woman.

They apparently shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’, which means ‘God is great’ in Arabic, and tried to film the attack, the BBC’s political editor Nick Robinson said.

Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe tonight confirmed two men had been arrested and officers from the counter-terrorist unit were leading the investigation into the killing.

A statement from the Muslim Council of Britain made this stunning pronouncement:

This action will no doubt heighten tensions on the streets of the United Kingdom.

Ya think?!

The same statement claims such violence “has no basis in Islam,” yet it’s interesting that any time barbarous acts and terrorist acts occur around the world, you could make a lot of money if you bet on the perpetrator being Muslim before you knew one way or the other. Despite the claims that such barbaric acts have no basis in Islam, don’t you think that the violence called for in the Quran, and the stunning silence in the face of Islamic violence from the majority of the Muslim community have something to do with why Islam seems to be behind so much of the violence in the world?

Perhaps if more–many more–peaceful Muslims would strongly denounce this behavior instead of turning a blind eye to it, there would be a lot less of it. It’s in human nature to respond to peer pressure. Sometimes that’s good and sometimes it’s bad, but if there was a groundswell of peer pressure from peaceful Muslims against this barbarism, I believe most of it would stop.

When I first saw reports of this incident this morning, how did I know (even when the only thing being reported was that it was “two black men” and no mention whatsoever of religion or ethnic origin of the perpetrators) that this was yet another violent act by Muslim extremists? There are plenty of black men in Britain who are not violent or Muslim, so how did I know–even before the news outlets reported their skin color, much less their religion?

Because my eyes and mind are open, and both of them are allowed to work unhindered.

Most things these days aren’t hard to figure out. Like right and wrong.

This reminded me of the video Steven Crowder put out just yesterday which uses humor to illustrate some disturbing truths about Islam.
