CWA: IRS Targeting of Conservative Groups Nothing New

Following the admission of IRS officials that they had unjustly targeted conservative groups as far back as March 2010, Concerned Women for America CEO and President Penny Nance gives witness to the longstanding history of IRS harassment during Democratic presidencies.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX)

Senator Cruz for Legal Immigration, Not Illegal Immigration

While Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) is strongly opposed to amnesty for illegal aliens, he strongly supports legal immigration and a fair and equal chance at it, regardless of whether the immigrant is high skilled or low skilled. He recently spoke against an amendment that would have restricted the flow of low-skilled immigrants.

Senate Panel Passes ‘Massive’ Farm Bill, Cuts are Shot Down

Senate Panel Passes ‘Massive’ Farm Bill, Cuts are Shot Down

The U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee today passed another massive, unnecessary piece of taxpayer-funded largess for the agriculture industry. Senator John Thune and some other Republicans attempted to cut some of the welfare spending stuffed into the bill, but these attempts were voted down. When the federal government meddles in areas the constitution doesn’t authorize, the loser is usually the American taxpayer.

Bob Woodward and the IRS Tea Party Story

Perhaps it was Bob Woodward that did it. Got the ball rolling, that is. Perhaps it is merely a coincidence, but there have been a rash a major news stories lately highly critical of the Obama Administration. This should be a wakeup call for the rest of the mainstream media to do its job and hold White Houses accountable — no matter what political party they are from.

IRS Tea Party Scrutiny: No Random Error

Just when it appeared Washington, D.C. had become impervious to a full-blown political scandal, along comes a seismic revelation jarring Americans of all ideological moorings – one that’s placed one of the most feared (and fastest-growing) “independent” government agencies squarely on the hot seat. Last week’s startling acknowledgement by senior staff at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) of the agency’s discriminatory practices against limited government groups is indeed “chilling” and “thuggish,” as a pair of moderate U.S. Senators have suggested. But it’s much more than that.

Collusion and Corruption at the IRS

Collusion and Corruption at the IRS

As anyone who has been through an IRS audit or suffered a tax penalty can attest, the power that the Internal Revenue Service wields is enormous. As John Marshall famously concluded, “the power to tax is the power to destroy.” We’re discovering that the IRS has been less than scrupulous in its treatment of conservative non-profits in recent years. Unfortunately, as is often the case, the Administration doesn’t have the facts on its side.

Obama is not Incompetent. He’s Malicious

You may have read, or seen a film version of, Richard Condon’s deeply disturbing 1959 novel The Manchurian Candidate. I have heard Barack Obama (or whatever his name is) compared to Raymond Shaw or called the Manchurian President. While some may scoff at this idea, can it truly be that far off the mark? Obama does not appear to be “brainwashed” in a Manchurian Candidate sense, but he was most certainly indoctrinated with anti-American, communist-Muslim ideology while growing up.
