Leftist Academics: Christian Group Isn’t Religious

These days, I often feel like I went to sleep in America and woke up in the old Soviet Union or some other Marxist hellhole.  What do I mean?  It’s the fact that meanings seem to have no meaning anymore.

Remember how we are always told how free the people are in Marxist countries that need barbed wire and guards to keep their people in?  Remember how in the “People’s” Republic of China, the people have no real say in their government?  Remember the old East German communist government that referred to itself as the “German Democratic Republic” when it wasn’t the slightest bit democratic or republican?  And remember how the communist aggressors who tried to quash other people’s freedom were always known as the “peace loving peoples” of blah blah blah?

Well, this kind of surreal stuff is now happening in what I once firmly knew as “the real world.”

For instance, here in South Dakota, we have “Republican” legislators who vote down every attempt to fight or slow down or resist ObamaCare, who vote down pro-Second Amendment bills, resist attempts to make it easier for taxpayers to see the voting records of their representatives, vote down efforts to control illegal immigration, vote down attempts to identify welfare recipients suspected of using drugs while receiving taxpayer largess, and toss from their caucus Republicans who insist on following GOP values and platform.

Nationally, a pro-homosexual, pro-abortion, pro-cap-and-trade global warming enthusiast, and pro-government health care guy is dangerously close to capturing the “Republican” GOP nomination for president of the United States.

We also have some people who claim the aforementioned candidate is “conservative“–and even the “most conservative candidate” in the race.

If that isn’t enough to make you think you’re stuck in some upside-down dreamworld, as this video illustrates, now we have Christian clubs that–we are being told–aren’t religious.

From the Alliance Defense Fund:

The University of North Carolina-Greensboro is saying a Christian student club isn’t religious and therefore must allow students of other religions and belief systems to become leaders and members as a condition to being a recognized group. Alliance Defense Fund attorneys are representing the club in a federal lawsuit filed Wednesday.

“Saying that a Christian club isn’t religious is flatly absurd,” said ADF Legal Counsel Jeremy Tedesco, “especially when the university has granted its belief-based exception to numerous other clubs. The First Amendment forbids the government from determining what is and what is not ‘religious,’ yet the university is doing exactly this by telling a Christian group that it is not religious. The Constitution protects the right of all student groups to employ belief-based criteria in selecting their members and leaders.”

That seems to be the new preferred method of the Leftists in America to trample and spit on freedom, especially religious freedom.  Need to control and/or destroy a Christian group, but there’s this pesky First Amendment thing in the way? Just declare the group to be “non-religious,” and it’s “Problem solved!”

The American people desperately need to get mad and do whatever it takes to remove these Leftist hijackers of reality from elected office and every other position of authority in this country. We have been inattentive and lazy, and have allowed the wolves to take charge of every position of authority in the hen house.

And now our “freedom goose” is almost cooked.

I know there are “reasonable” people out there who either aren’t paying attention or who have made up their minds already, based on the faulty assumptions of “spokespersons” they respect or on the media spin that has a control on their minds, but this calm, rational spokesperson has gotten some very crude, inarticulate, hateful comments.  I think people need to consider where the vitriol is really coming from in this culture war.
