DeWine Switches from Romney to Santorum: Why So Late?

As glad as I am to see Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine switch his support from a RINO liberal like Mitt “RomneyCare” Romney to Rick Santorum, I had to marvel as I listened to his explanation of why he supported Romney in the first place.

I don’t condone it and I don’t excuse it, but in a sense I can understand a little if someone has not investigated a candidate’s record and they are simply misled by slick talk and don’t understand what a pathetic excuse for a representative of the Republican Party someone like Mitt Romney is.

But for a high-level state leader and nationally-prominent person like Mike DeWine to fall for this utter nonsense about “he can’t win” for a good candidate, and “he’s the strongest candidate” for a lousy one?

What is it going to take to get people to pull their head out and grow a little guts? Why are people so willing to allow others who are hostile to their interests tell them what they should do? Why are people so willing to just go along with the flow, follow the herd and allow peer pressure manufacture a future for them?

Well, better late than never, I guess, when it comes to waking up and getting off a bad train to nowhere. But imagine where the Santorum campaign could be if many people had made the decision several months ago to not allow themselves to be led around by the nose by the “mainstream” media and RINO elites in the GOP.

Our future is what we make it, and we have to have the boldness to step out and make a bright future for America…or allow ourselves to be led down the road to hell by Leftists.

Let’s resolve to stop allowing establishment figures and elitists tell us what can and can’t be done, and put our country back in the hands of the people, especially the grownups.
