Rapid City Legislative Crackerbarrel 1/21/2012: Full Video

January 22, 2012   ·   By   ·   1 Comments

The first legislative crackerbarrel meeting in Rapid City for the 2012 South Dakota Legislative Session was held yesterday at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology.

My thanks to Ed Randazzo of the Right Side for recording this video when I could not be at the meeting. There were a couple of minor glitches in the editing of this video (they were editing errors, not recording errors), but virtually the entire 2 hours are here.

It is important that citizens know what is going on with their government, and that they remain informed so they can ensure they are being properly and adequately represented by their elected leaders.  Please consider taking the time to watch the entire video as you have time.

Mr. President, You Reap What You Sow

Bradlee Dean

As the Obama Administration is being uncovered for scandal after scandal, his plans are beginning to backfire. For example, the ever-increasing scandals at the Internal Revenue Service are now jeopardizing critical funding for the agency as it attempts to play a major role in the implementation of Obamacare. Obama was planning a major budget increase for the IRS, but now the feat is proving difficult as Congress sees that the IRS has proven to be untrustworthy. This proves the famous, unchangeable law of sowing and reaping.

The Lost Art of Education

Ken Connor

There is a general consensus that there is a dumbing down of America underway. There is a growing recognition that our move away from the classical understanding of what constitutes a proper education – and the ends of that education – is largely responsible for the problems we're seeing in the classroom, the workforce, and the culture at large.

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the party over to the so-called moderates wouldn't make any sense at all." - Ronald Reagan, Nov. 10, 1964
