It’s unbelievable what some of these representatives come up with. Law abiding citizens should turn in their guns? Think you can get the criminals to do likewise, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee? Well, until such time as you can get the “bad guys & gals” to turn in their weapons and promise to be good boys & girls, maybe you ought to go check out the deficit and consider working on it and the budget. You know… maybe you ought to go do your job, rather than looking for a fictional fight to champion.
What happened in Newtown, Connecticut was a horrendous event that never should have been, however, it isn’t a gun issue — it is a mental health issue. To wrongly take advantage of this tragedy and make it something that it is not to further your agenda, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee & Pals, is totally disrespectful and unacceptable. It’s time that you and your radical liberal playmates be told, “No more.”
Life and tragedy isn’t a game to be toyed with. There are dangerous people out there that are looking to harm others for thrills, for greed, for all kinds of reasons. To disarm the good guys, while having no true control over the bad guys, is to invite death and destruction in the private sector to a degree apparently not comprehendable to people like you, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, or perhaps you don’t care. Perhaps you are a danger to society by these outrageous suggestions and efforts you put forth. Rather than law abiding citizens turning in their guns, perhaps you should turn in your resignation. It would make more sense.

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the party over to the so-called moderates wouldn't make any sense at all." - Ronald Reagan, Nov. 10, 1964
